Works perfect. No delays what's soever. easy install really simple just 5 screws but you might be tempted to keep going deeper into the ps5 because of how much dust can accumulate inside, def use this time to quickly vacuum up or use air to blow dust out of your system. At least for me it was crazy how much dust was there. But really happy with the prpduct finally can have all my games for my ps5 ready to play when I choose which was really frustrating having a digital version . Only problem is I only got a 2 tb and it's almost full already should of got 4 or 8 so keep in mind how many games you plan on having.

This internal hard drive is very to install and if you aren’t sure how to access the inside panel of your PS5 there are lots of videos to help you.
Other than that, it gives you the extra space you are looking for once it’s installed your select your new internal hard drive as where you want everything to be downloaded and you are good to go!

Easy to Install SSD Memory for PS5

I bought this gem when it was on sale during Boxing Day and I have to say it's easily one of the best purchases I've made for my PS5 console. Took me 5 minutes to manually install this (PS5 cover was easy to remove and slot where the memory stick goes in you just need a small screwdriver to remove the slot plate, then just plug it in, and lock in place with the nut). Formatting took 25 seconds once you boot up your PS5 and just change the storage setting to have your games install to the new memory storage instead of the built-in storage. Didn't notice any difference in speed as I played through my favorite games and that's a good thing as SSD is fast. 1TB is more than enough for me as I cycle through my games as I finish them.

Overall great drive and I recommend for PS5 specifically or for any general high speed M.2 storage requirements.

Right off I will say I deducted 1 star for Seagate making the exact same product as the Firecuda 530 M.2, rebranding it, charging more and only offering it up to 2 TB instead of 4TB. Granted most people aren’t putting 4TB in their PS5. Nowhere on the Seagate site though do the give you any reasonable explanation or identify differences or that it’s a variation of an existing product. It’s a shady practice that needs to stop with Tech companies and I’ve seen this with so many products specifically from Seagate. They need start creating clear naming conventions for all lines of products and stop intentionally trying to confuse consumers.

With that said Seagate does make some of the best a most reliable drives and I’ve never had issues with them. This drive has been no exception. It has exceptional performance and is essentially as fast as the soldered storage on the PS5. I was previously using the Firecuda 530 1TB and haven’t noticed any difference on PS5 positive or negative. I did a lot of research before deciding on the Seagate drives but you can check out the countless YouTube videos and reviews for exact stats/performance against other brands. It’s the same drive as the Firecuda 530 for reference. The main difference being that this one only comes with a heatsink where the Firecuda and can get models without. Make sure you get the heatsink because these get hot in the PS5! Regardless this one is in the top tier for PS5.
