How do I know if I will have sufficient coverage with Jethro Mobile?

Jethro Mobile has nationwide coverage in the United States (excluding Alaska). To check the coverage at your location, simply go to jethromobile.com and select "Coverage." Then enter an address (for more accuracy) or a zip code to see the coverage.

How do I activate my SIM card?

Activate anytime online at jethromobile.com or contact support 7 days a week (6AM-5PM PST). Activations can be scheduled up to 60 days in advance (and cancelled if your trip is rescheduled) or started immediately. Use a US address during activation.

Can I keep my phone number for a future trip?

Yes, we keep your phone number and SIM card available for renewal for 45 days after your plan expires. No need to purchase a new SIM card. Not traveling in the next 45 days? Add our starter plan to extend the amount of time for your next renewal.

Do these plans work while I'm still in Canada?

No, our service only works in the United States. However, we do offer unlimited calling from the States to Canada. Once you are in the States, insert your SIM card (if you haven't already), turn your phone off and back on again, and enjoy the service

I used the Jethro card on a cycling trip in the US (I am from Canada). Once installed the card worked great. It did take a while to set up though and several tries before it would actually load on the website. There were a group of us and we had all installed Jethro cards with varying degrees of set-up time.

So, in conclusion, the product once installed was excellent; but the online installation process was frustrating.

Activation was easy however surprisingly poor network coverage in Davenport Florida. Bought the 7 day card for our seven night vacation. I was thinking I wouldn’t need it for my last day, only going to the airport. Wrong, we weren’t used to travelling to Sanford airport and were driving using google maps when suddenly the map kept saying recalculating recalculating. Pulled into an off-ramp by mistake had no idea where we were with time running out for check in. Took a while to figure what happened to google maps then realized SIM card expired. Had to quickly stick my Canadian SIM card in and get charged for the US data and roaming. Next time I’ll be sure to buy a 9 day card for a seven night vacation.

This card worked perfectly as far as data service, phone calls, and texting. I used it for a month long trip to the USA with no service problems. My complaint was the number of robo calls that I received daily. I had to finally set my phone to receive only calls from those in my contact list. My daughter bought the same card and had no problems at all with these types of calls. I would buy again because for the money it worked well.
