It also has the cute little drawer in the bottom that is actually quite large. This part you do not have to assemble, it is made of thick canvas and comes folded initially, fitting perfectly in the bottom once assembled. Highly recommend!

This is a very capacious and stylish shelf system. I use it for books and CDs. The black finish looks great and the overall construction is very solid. The instructions could use some work. (Just skip ahead to Step 4: the top shelf is #1, the next 7 are #2, and the final shelf is #3; keep the side with holes upward.) Otherwise, the shelf is a great value.

I love the look of the shelf, it comes as described. Assembly is easy, but takes some time with all the sections. Worth it though! It's fairly tippy so make sure you use the kit they added to tie the top to the wall! I have mine on a carpet and a light gust would bring it down. I still give 5 stars because if you just follow the instructions, that is not an issue. But worth noting if you have an apartment that doesn't allow you drop anchors into the walls.

I am very happy with this shelf, It's sturdy but took a minute to put together. Not too complicated once you get the hang of all those angled shelves. Would be helpful if it came with 2 allen keys so 2 people can work at the screws at the same time (ironically, I had 7 other allen keys and none were the right size!). Also, the stickers that number the pieces are a pain to take off. Minus those 2 things, the shelf is perfect and holds plenty of books without taking up a lot of room.

I’ma researcher before I buy anything! I overthink it! I saw someone post about this book tree, so I decided to try it. It came in a bunch of pieces, which looks intimidating! Make sure you pay attention to the directions and the sides and holes in the wood! I love it when they include the Allen wrench, and the screws were packaged and labeled very well! So were the wood pieces! My only complaint is that one of the pieces of wood didn’t have the holes drilled well, so I had to have my husband use his brute strength to screw in the screws on that one. It is very sturdy, and looks great in my room without taking up much space!

This is the second shelf I have ordered with this design, I love it so much. This shelf is very sturdy and can hold a lot of books. It takes a while to put together but it’s not too difficult for one person. The bin at the bottom is perfect for a journal and pen or other small items. You can also remove the bin to fit more books.
