The RockJam 561 Super Kit includes a 61-key keyboard, a stand, an adjustable stool, and a pair of high quality headphones. It addition, the super kit comes with 30 free Piano Maestro songs to be downloaded on your iPhone or iPad that will help aspiring musicians to learn and practice sight reading, rhythm, technique, two-handed playing, and much more (instructions and song list below). This intuitive keyboard comes with a power supply for use at home, but can also be powered by 6 x 1.5V Size D batteries so you can take it on stage or on the road. The keyboard has a crisp LCD screen, and provides instructions for beginners, telling them which keys to press or chords to play while trying demo songs, making it the perfect keyboard for budding musicians. Although the keyboard is compact, the keys themselves are full size. The sturdy and portable keyboard stand is a great way to ensure the keyboard’s stability, and is very easy to fold up and take on the road. The adjustable stool is a comfortable choice for pianists of all ages. The included over-ear headphones enable pianists to play without disturbing anyone around them. And when a concert is called for, the keyboard has built-in speakers that will fill the room with rich, resonant sound. I think this is a great keyboard if you are looking for something basic for a beginner. It comes with a very sturdy (and easy to assemble) stand and bench, as well as a pair of mediocre headphones. There is a small manual and a card providing you with instructions on how to get additional songs for free on the Piano Maestro app. When I purchased this, the keyboard also included 3 months free on Skoove, but do note that this keyboard can't take full advantage of everything Skoove can do. (See below for why.)As I said, this is a nice basic keyboard. It is capable of 100 different tones (although only a few sound really good) and 100 rhythms. It has 50 songs built in, and there is a slightly clunky learning mode to teach them to you. The back has an input for headphones and for a microphone. There is no MIDI or USB port, so you will not be able to hook this keyboard up to your computer. Some programs and website, like Skoove, use this type of input to "hear" keyboards. Other programs, like Piano Maestro, work just fine because they use a microphone to hear the keyboard.The keys on this keyboard feel nice, neither too soft nor too hard to push. There is a built-in metronome to help keep time, and a display that shows the notes being played, tone settings, etc. The volume for the keyboard is fully controllable, but always resets to the loudest level whenever it is turned on. The speakers a decent quality, and we haven't had any issues with them. The sound is clear with no buzzing at all.Overall, this is a good basic keyboard, suitable for beginners and people trying to decide if they want to learn the keyboard/piano. It is missing MIDI and USB ports that higher end keyboards have, but it is also much less expensive than better equipped models.

Good quality. Lot of functionalities. Even better with the Simply Piano course. Bought it for my wife as a Christmas gift. She plays with it several times a day and yet make improvement everyday. This is absolutely amazing for kids/beginners.

I use it myself and I'm 43 and having a blast with it. My 6 year old is playing incredibly with it and loves that there's literally hundreds of sounds/tones/rhythms. He knows about 15 songs by heart already including Carol of the Bells, Amazing Grace, Little Drummer Boy, Happy Birthday and many other holiday and movie songs. He's learned them all using his piano over the last month. It's amazing.

If your little one shows any interest in playing piano, definitely pick this up. At under $200 it's an absolute steal. It also comes with the stand and a seat, both good quality and comfortable for a kid.

Even for an adult, it's great if you're just starting out!

The piano is fine, but the booklet that came with it that said I had two weeks of free lessons was very very disappointing. I signed up and they asked for a credit card so I gave it to them. I only used it for one day and then stopped altogether. I was supposed do have two weeks and then if I cancelled my money would be refunded. (I cancelled it on the last day [I admit I was procrastinating] which happened to be a Saturday and when they finally responded to my emails on Monday they said no I missed the deadline. I asked if it was free why the gasper credit card and they said just normal business practice. Most unimpressed to say the least! So now I am out of pocket by $180 and I have lessons year that I will not use...

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 13-yr-old and have been very happy! I'd like to point out some things that I think might be helpful for those considering buying it:

1) The picture on Amazon is a little misleading. At first glance, it looks as if there is a large display on the top of the keyboard showing the piano learning application/notes to be played. If you look closer, you'll realize it's a tablet sitting on the top of the keyboard, showing the app. The "display" feature mentioned in the product description is a small display directly above the keyboard. Obviously, the piano doesn't come with a tablet included. I knew this when I purchased the keyboard but I think it's worth pointing out. My kid has used his iphone propped on top of the keyboard to play the application so he can learn piano. It works okay. The notes can be a little hard to see at times, but it's not that bad. If you use your tablet to run a piano lesson application, it would be a lot easier probably but using the phone is still doable.

2) This set comes with earphones. This is great! However, be aware that the "Simply Piano" application requires NO headphones because it has to "listen" to the piano being played to advance to the next level or lesson. I don't know if all of the piano apps require this but I didn't think about it when I purchased the keyboard. My kid can use the headphones when he's goofing around on the keyboard, but whenever he wants to use the app to learn, he has to use it without headphones. (I hear him play and practice, which is both a fun upside and a noisy downside. lol)

3) There are A LOT of buttons so the keyboard looks very complicated. I think this keyboard is a great buy for beginners interested in learning piano. My kid has really enjoyed it. There are a lot of features & functions. It's a little intimidating at first glance, but most of it is pretty intuitive. There are record & play back functions to play back what you've been playing, which my kid really likes. The are buttons to change the sound/instrument or rhythm. I didn't see any point in overwhelming my kid by going through every description of every button in the manual, but he's had fun exploring & figuring out what each button does on his own.

4) What I love most about this keyboard is how much fun he has been having with music. The "Simply Piano" application has been good and the keyboard itself has been exactly what I wanted. In my opinion it's a very good value at this price if you're interested in learning to play the piano/keyboard.

key board is OK as basic and accessories are OK but head phones are very poor quality with one side defective , i read in review before purchasing but it was not rectified is not acceptable , i was sensitive to return all the items otherwise i would have return, either vendor should remove the headphone in items list or offering good one , second complaint i have purchased for 7924 next day i have seen price 4999 slashing by 3000 what is this ? as premium customer we can't accept this kind of deals from Amazon
