The rating scheme is skewed in Rinke's favour. Durability and sturdiness are closely related. 'Design' is missing. I compare in the picture to an alternative from the faraway A-place. The Rinke does feel sturdier in the hand, its matte grip feels safer--will likely be OK with wet hands vs. the smoother competitor. The Rinke case is evidently thicker. It buries its charging (Magsafe-like) ring inside discreetly, vs. the showy competitor that has both in and out rings marks. However, the competitor's outer ring adds some design life to the case.What strikes me more is the much better cutout standard on the cheaper (!) alternative. There are six precise holes instead of Rinke's 4. With the Rinke, my Titanium Gray body shows in the vertical oblong hole. Second, the competitor's camera cutouts have contoured lens holes with built-in tempered glass protection--quality does not appear to affect pictures.Is the Rinke worth 4x as much? You decide.

I usually go with Spigen heavy cases with my phones but this time around I wanted to try something that both light and protective. My decision was between the Spigen liquid air and the Onyx, chose Onyx at the end because of looks mainly but I am so glad I did.

There are several things I really like about the design of this case:

First, the sides of the case are slightly slimmer than the corners and the top, with a lip that protrudes less on the sides in comparison to the top and bottom. This makes the case feel really slim, while still offering decent protectiveness around the corners.

Secondly, the material is really nice and grippy. I hardly find my phone slipping out of my pocket at all, and holding the phone feels really nice and secure. The textured sides and back also adds a nice grippiness

Lastly is the individual camera cutouts. They are snug and looks quite good, and the protective lip around each cutout is not overly aggressive (like on the Spigen lite) so the phone doesn't rock as much while laying flat on the table.

Overall 5/5 product, I've noticed more and more that Ringke makes really competitive products on par with Spigen or other well-known phone accessories brands. Nice looks, low key, protective and durable. Will be a returning customer.

It has smart thoughtful features like raised ridges to protect the screen, and the camera cutouts provide just enough protection to the camera at the back. In terms of drop protection, I don’t think this case would protect all that well against impacts but scratches, scuffs, sure

Overall, I’m satisfied and would highly recommend this case to anyone looking for a great looking, feeling phone case with a minimalist aesthetic, great look, and protection.

its a good fitting case but the camera cutouts are note fully aligned, making it look sort of misfitting on the cameras. Where it's misaligned on different sides of each camera giving a off centre appearance. not game breaking but should fit better. Great protection for how it doesnt add too much bulk. the sides are great for holding the phone for using the camera as its not curved. The back texture is hard feeling plastic but looks good. This is one of those almost perfect slim cases.

Nice and slim, and the camera ridges are a great feature for a little extra protection on all the lenses. As an HD mechanic I typically handle my phone with oil, diesel, and whatever other fluids come out of equipment and it's been holding up to petroleum pretty well so far.
