I already have a first generation Ring Doorbell Pro and love it, so I got this Pro 2 version for my main front door, and moved the older one to the basement door. The Pro 2 adds 2 major benefits compared to the old one and is well worth the upgrade.
The Pro 2 looks similar to the first generation but it has slightly different dimensions. It installs using the existing door bell wiring and is very straightforward to install using the provided instructions. Pairing to your Ring account is also very straightforward and worked flawlessly. Once paired in the Ring App, you can get a snapshot immediately, and then navigate in the app to view real-time video live. The first major benefit over the first generation is the improvement in picture quality. Both Ring Pro generations have excellent quality, but the Pro 2 adds a sharper more colorful image. The second biggest upgrade is the field of view, which now includes the floor in front of my door. I can easily see packages and where they were placed. The app also sends notifications not only when there is motion or someone at the front door, but when a package is left there as well. It is an amazing doorbell camera and a nice upgrade over the first generation. I very highly recommend it for anyone wanting the security of instant notifications when there is motion, someone or a package at your front door.

EASY BUT...
I wanted to install it as per instructions but the old chime was too old and ugly and was thrown away a while ago. I did not want to buy another one just for that so I installed it in the wall (no electrical box needed) and was able to hide it with a switch and plate (not plugged, only used as a front) for future access. (I know I still need to plaster the whole). I gave it 4 stars because the mounting screws are very small and this doorbell could easily be stolen. 24 hours after installation, it lost the WiFi connection (nothing was changed) so it had to be reset. I hope this won't happen again. Also when I sent a Messenger message to Ring in French, they sent me an English link for the installation but provided and European phone number! I plan on adding more items on this system and I think the 20V transformer I have will need to be upgraded to a 24V one so if you have to upgrade yours go to 24V right away.

I was waiting for a HomeKit video doorbell but didn't see any that I wanted so I decided to go with the Ring Pro 2 with the basic subscription plan. (40% less than Google's plan in Canada)
Installation.
My doorbell wires were buried behind my brick veneer so I went through drywall and fed the doorbell cable through the 1/2" hole I drilled through the brick. I installed the doorbell. Then connected the power bridge to my mechanical chime and turned on the power. The Ring Pro 2 set up perfectly.
I created motion zones and didn't use the advance recognition features to see if I needed them (notifications are faster with these settings off..less cloud processing?). It turned out I didn't need the advanced recognition detection features. A week has gone by with no false alarms and with the notifications working quickly. The video quality (including night time) is great as is the 2 way speaker when talking to people at the door.
Overall
The Ring Pro 2 looks very clean (small/unobtrusive) at my front entrance which was a main concern. I turned off the electronic chime and the answering/questions/replies by Alexia. The doorbell is completely silent when the button is pushed with only the mechanical chime being heard inside the house. Ring allowing me to make these settings is appreciated.
I'm elated this doorbell project turned out so well.
