My home is about 30 years old and the ring doesn’t get enough power, it was extremely hard to install because you have to do things with the chime (unless you spend even more money to buy rings chime). All the images and “support” offered by ring showed pictures of doorbells that were nothing like ours. We even went out and bought a new doorbell chime and still didn’t work now we have to wait till the summer and bring an electrician in or we’ve just wasted hundreds of dollars and you still have to buy a subscription in order to record anything it sees. Not worth the trouble.
