This is my sixth Ring cam place around my house. I finally was able to set up a cam to monitor my side yard after having electrical run to that side of the house.Installation was simple, taking me maybe about 30-45 minutes. Set up in the app was equally as simple.The companion “plug in” mounting plate comes with a super long power cord, so the camera can be placed quite a large distance away from where it needs to be plugged in. In my case I mounted the cam directly below the plug in, so this wasn’t necessary.All in all I’m very happy with all my Ring devices, including this new acquisition. Recommend.

Great light and I was wanting a home security type camera for our backyard for some time. Crystal clear images and good app. Easy to install. Not a fan of the price of the subscription that is required for most of the features to work. Adding another Ring item boosts the cost significantly and would be the only thing stopping me from adding a Ring doorbell.

Ring thinks of almost everything to help the user. There are several sizes of screws supplied, depending what your junction box has. They even supply the screw driver with a removable shaft with a Philips head on one end and a flat edge on the other. Remove the shaft and you can use the handle to tighten the two finishing nuts. What impressed me was that the housing has a strap attached with a hook, this attaches to a hook on the mounting plate so you can leave the housing hanging while you connect the wires. The Ring app takes care of the configuration. Now I have a very clear view of my backyard, better lights than before and 2 way audio (good to have if you have people for a BBQ and you’re in the kitchen) This is not my first Ring device, I have the doorbell, the alarm system and several cameras and they all come with the same thoughtfulness.

the installation part is very easy for me since i'm replacing a floodlight that came with the builder (all the wiring is already done).
i love how this product came with different size screws so you don't have to worry about the mount size.

the connection process is very straight forward too, good job amazon.

the picture quality is fantastic as well, it can clearly see your license plate at night time due to the powerful led lights.

La calidad de la imagen es muy buena, también es fácil de instalar ya que viene con su kit de instalación, necesitas que tengas buena conexión de internet ya que si no las notificaciones las vas a recibir atrasadas, es importante mencionar como dice en la venta del producto que para que puedas ver las grabaciones de notificaciones de movimiento tienes que pagar un costo adicional. Yo tengo 3 productos ring y por mes con el paquete plus es un costo aproximado de $171. También la iluminación es muy buena, puedes modificar la intensidad adecuada en que quieres que se encuentre.

Buscaba reemplazar unas luces con sensor de movimiento que ya no funcionaban y al ya contar con productos (y subscripción) ring consideré lo más lógico comprar esta cámara.

Lo que nos gusta:
- Alumbra muy bien (al grado que estamos asegurandonos con los vecinos de la acera de enfrente que no les cause molestia).
- Ámplio grado de visibilidad.
- Buena imágen e incluye toda las facilidades y habilidades para trabajar con productos como alexa, al igual que otros productos ring.
- Muy configurable y no hemos tenido problemas con movimientos que hayan pasado desapercibidos.

- Lo malo:
- La bocina (y sirena) es muy baja, si se busca comprar por esta funcionalidad, posiblemente no sirva para eso.
- Como los demás productos ring, percibe (y se puede revisar) eventos de movimiento, pero no graba contínuamente, como los productos Nest.
- La cámara dice Wired pero hay que hacer incapié en que ocupa instalación eléctrica disponible y por esto me refiero a los 3 cables de corriente AC (corriente, neutro y tierra), no existe en amazon un kit ya pre hecho para conectar esta cámara, los kits que existen son para conectar camaras que usan USB C y no a corriente AC directa. Para usar esta cámara se necesita una caja conduit con el cableado disponible, o bien adecuar algo que pueda funcionar. En nuestro caso, compré un kit de cableado de ring para exteriores que NO funciona con esta cámara (aunque Amazon lo marca como compatible) pero terminé adecuando uno con una caja impermeable y un cable de corriente para exteriores.

Estamos contentos con el producto ya que es un reemplazo directo de lo que teníamos antes, pero con mejoras, pero no es tan sencillo de instalar como otros productos ring.
