I have a software background and wasn't expecting this thing to be as good as it is. It's actually exactly what I was expecting it to be. You can arm and disarm from your phone, extremely responsive. The only thing I would like to see improved on this product is to have an alarm delay option of 15 seconds. Currently you can only choose1 minute, 30 seconds or immediate.When the alarm goes off you only get a push notification to your phone, default is a simple beep, the software doesn't have an option to have your phone alarm until you react (or wake up). ** A very easy work around for this is to set a custom ringtone for this app and upload a loud 6 minute file. Worked for me. Also I called the 800 number before buying and I got through right away. Very impressive, excellent customer service. There is a slot for a SIM card and you can work this thing entirely from wifi-only. No fees. Excellent productsNo complaints, this is the system, look no further

The Ring system is clearly one of the best around, and comes with everything you need to feel safe, secure, and have that peace of mind.

While it's only been a few weeks, everything has held up and the trial of the Ring secure system was wonderful. We're not sure if we'll keep the subscription but either way, the alerts are enough for us to feel safe.

Setup is fairly easy, with mostly double sided tape holding everything in place. We'll see how long it lasts, which worries me, but otherwise everything went smoothly!

What to note on this system. It comes installed with a SIM to provide cellular backup - in the event of internet outage.

Setup is a breeze. Motion sensors are very high quality. Lots of options to build the perfect home system.

The best part of the Ring ecosystem being that if you sign up for ring monitoring (which is extremely reasonable) you also get subscriptions for all your home/ doorbell cameras. It’s by far the best value out of any competitor hands down. The key being the cellular backup for the alarm included.

General review:

I have to say, I am super impressed with Ring. Firstly, my iSmart Alarm went out of business and all of my previous security system became totally useless. So I vowed to buy a security system from a trusted brand with powerful financial backing. Ring made the list, since it is backed by Amazon and boy am I happy I made the decision to go with Ring.

App:

Firstly, the app is extremely well designed. Everything was set up so easily and I love the integration with Alexa. Call me an Amazon fanboy, but seriously, this is just great design in every way. No discernible flaws at all so far.

Range:

One crazy thing is how good the range is on these door sensors. I live in an apartment building on the 3rd floor and was curious if using the range extension device would really extend the range of devices. Well, does it ever! I was able to walk down to my storage locker, which is literally four floors directly below my apartment, and install one of the extra door sensors right on my storage locker door! I thought it would stop working halfway down my hallway but no! It cut out only when I was going down the stairwell on the far side of my building but it came back when I was in my storage locker (four floors down!). I had to do a bit of a custom install to put it on the inside, but it worked! Can you believe it? I mean, wow. That’s nuts. I didn’t even plan on securing my storage locker but it is protected now amazingly. So I mean, if you live in a four storey house or live in an apartment complex like I do and want your storage locker door monitored, it actually works! Mind you I can’t vouch for every apartment since building materials are different everywhere and some buildings are larger and more spaced out than others but I’m tellin you... four storeys down, it still detects! Crazy good.
