I bought these for a set of keys that I have to keep with me at work. There are 2 keys and 1 plastic fob, so not much weight.I have been using one for less then 2 months. Today the wire broke as I was using a key. I previously had to superglue the decorative cover on the front as the manufacturing glue let go.

I wouldn't call it heavy duty as the title implies. It honestly feels like all the other ones I've ever bought. The back is made of metal so it's a bit heavier but the wire is the same. Working in a hospital, I use it multiple times a day to get through different doorways. For me, it's the wire that eventually snaps. I guess it's good that it came in a two pack and the price was good. I'm still on my first one and it's been around 4 months.

Not overly impressed by the product. The casing is plastic, the clip is plastic, and the wire itself is VERY thing and feels like it will break. Its ok bang for your buck considering the price but if you are carrying an important security card etc I wouldn't have too much faith in this product not snapping. Overall, it just feels cheap.

These are sturdy, but it is as sturdy as the weakest part which is the "triangle" holding your ID cards. It literally broke on both of them. I tweaked it by passing the key ring in the circled hole. One other thing is that it is quite loose if you wear it on a non-thick belt - every time you want to use it in an upward movement, the changes that it loosens are high.

I've been a nurse for seven years and I think it is safe to say that I've been through my fair share of crappy badge reels. You know the ones, they snap after a month mid-shift. After many many MANY trial and error attempts with other reels, this one is THE badge reel to get. It is heavy-duty and holds up to 2 years of abuse at a time. Yes, it will eventually still fray and break from use, but it has such a strong string, great tension (this thing holds even the heaviest of badges + accessories), and a clean, minimal aesthetic, that I can't recommend highly enough. Buy it and thank me later. I've bought six of these now and will never buy another brand.
