Great picture... a number of usable digital controls to tweak your picture, sound, keyboard, etc. Also must buy remote mini keyboard to control various add on apps.
Plenty of storage space to add apps and some downloads, but can plug in a usb for added space. So far no buffering issues. Much better for heavy users compared to firestick that has its storage and RAM limitations which causes buffering. Easy to close apps that are open..basically it works just like an android phone system as many apps were originally designed for smartphone use.

There is absolutely no way to get the Play Store working. Trust me, I spent hours clearing data and cache, installing updates from APK Pure, deleting/re-entering my account and rebooting, rebooting, rebooting....
And yes, I DO know what I am doing.

Once you do log into your account, you are greeted with a message that tells you two of the apps are trying to steal your credentials and one will spam everyone in your inbox. Nice!

Normally if you go to Settings -> About and click on the version number, it forces the Play Store to update. That works on every single Android device out there except for this thing. Someone else's review said to go to APK Pure to update. Did that (and it is fairly safe to do so). Nope. Tried updating every component related to the Play Store. Nope.

I finally noticed that under settings, it says that this device isn't Play Protect certified. That's probably why the Play Store doesn't work.

I know that lots of people leave bad reviews for these Android boxes and don't know what they are talking about. I have had lots of these boxes and fixed even more for other people. I have never been unable to get the Play Store working, ever. It's too bad. The hardware is excellent. I would only recommend this box if you want to take a chance on installing a third party rom right away. I could do that but I won't. One, it would void the warranty and two, I expect products to work properly when I buy them. I don't want to have to fix them.

A lot of the HK boxes come with outdated versions of Play Store, some so old that it will not work or update, and needs to be reinstalled using another source. This can be done by finding the "Play Store APK" (APK are programs for Android) and installing it, either using a USB stick, or a app installer if one is installed (like APKpure as mentioned below). It is NOT just a problem with this brand or seller, it is a Android Box problem in general, as they are built and then don't get sold right away, some times several months later... It's actually a good way of knowing that your box is in fact Brand New rather than a used one, or one that had had a pile of bloatware added by the seller. As far as Android Boxes go, the HK Models with the S905X3 processors are best in class for this price range. The S905X3 processor is a must for these boxes, with 4GB RAM, and 64 GB of storage. For the few dollars difference between 32 GB and 64 GB, get the 64 GB version.

To update the Play Store if you cannot get it working, either use a computer or the Android Box's browser to download the Play Store APK from a site such as APK Mirror (just google "Play Store APK"). Once it is downloaded to the box, open and install the program, and it should be good to go, and will update itself as needed as long as the box is used regularly. If you use a computer to download it, save the APK file on a USB stick, put it in the Android Box, and use the File Browser app on the Android box to open and install it. There are many YouTube videos available to show exactly what is needed to be done if you aren't sure.
