A good alternative low sodium for sauce
I decided to try Molisana tomatoes to make sauce as an alternative to Vitale. Vitale is still one of the top canned tomatoes, but this is a good substitute. Not as dense as Vitale so they have higher water content which makes for a more watery sauce unless you reduce it it over hours and use tomato paste. Turns red with oxidation cooking uncovered so pretty good.Low sodium is key for me so this makes a good backup to 0-5mg sodium per 1/2 cup varieties. This has 50mg per 1/2 cup of sodium.

I tried every canned tomatoes for sale in canada without any acid added.

Theres a brand thats 6.5$ of san marzano that are really good. This one is 10% less good but at 4$ or less, it is perfect as they are way better than any other brand from any store.
