Q1. Phones have a recording function, so why do we need a voice recorder?

The recording time on the phone is shorter, and it's very inconvenient that using other functions of the phone can easily interrupt the recording.

Q2：Finding a recording file when using the voice recorder for the first time?

(It's rare. Don't worry about it.)The voice recorder has gone through strict quality control and quality inspection before leaving the factory. We only sell brand new products, if you find the recorder with recording files, it may be caused by mistaken touch during transportation.

Q3：Why is it forbidden to format on a computer?

The memory format of the recorder only supports FAT32. Once formatted on your computer, the memory format will change to exFAT/NTFS/APFS, which may result in problems such as not being able to record, not being able to work, and not being recognized by your computer.

Q4: Does the voice activation feature come with the recorder?

1. The voice activation feature is off by default. You can turn it on by referring to the manual

2. With voice activation enabled, you need to turn on the recorder and it will record in voice activated mode.

Q5: Unable to connect to computer?

1. Before connecting the digital voice recorder to the computer, please turn it off. When connecting to the computer, please place it smoothly and do not press any buttons

2. Try to wait longer: 20-30 seconds (due to the computer system and driver version, reading large memory also takes some time).

3. Change the port and computer. MAC users: please change to a type-C adapter

4. The computer lacks drivers and cannot recognize any recorders. Please Google: download a computer drivers (Solutions to most incompatibility problems)

5. Poke the reset hole with a pin

6. Don't worry, we will send you a new one! - We will send you a new one!

Q6: How to get clear recordings?

1. Placing the voice recorder directly on the desktop will transmit a lot of ambient noise to it, resulting in interference. (This is similar to hearing a lot of noise when you put your ear against the desktop.) It is recommended to place a soft object on the desktop that does not conduct sound.

2. Having the voice recorder close to your mouth may cause sound distortion.

3. Stay away from sources of noise (such as air conditioning, subtle noises from keyboard typing or computer operation, and the sound of clothes rubbing together).

4. If the recording environment is very noisy, be aware that additional noise may appear in your recording. Recommendation: Record in a quiet environment.

So this device is very clearly designed for being either very portable or for nonconsentual recording. If you need to record things on the go, like school lectures etc, I am sure this would do the trick and it is very light. However, You could get yourself a bigger device for the same price with better audio quality and more features.

The instructions are very clear that you should not use this device for nonconsentual recording. Having said that, this device is exactly what it says it is and works as described in the instructions. The storage is internal in the device and cannot be removed nor is it upgradable. Given that you're going to be using this to record speech, this is a rather moot point as the files will be tiny.

There is a configuration file on the device that allows for changing various settings. These are described in detail in the manual but also in the file itself. It was very clear to me what each setting was for. This is not mentioned in the description of the item so it is useful to note here. Theses settings control things like mic sensitivity, mp3 encoding bitrate quality, etc. You can also use an included application to set the time on the device so it will timestamp the files appropriately.

The headphones that come with it are pretty low quality, although they do the trick. You're just recording speech so you don't need anything special for headphones and also the files end up being very small too. The remote works. Something to note is that the device only records when the headphones/remote are not plugged in.

I would recommend this if you really truly need something that is very small, light and portable. Otherwise, you can get a device with much better microphones and options for the same price. What you are paying for here is the small size of the device.

This recorder is compact and light weight. There is no screen to display information and is operated on the simple principle of- turn device on to start recording, turn off to stop recording.

The sound quality is good and is easy to use once you have connected it to your computer.

The 64GB of storage should be enough for just about any use.

It has built-in noise reduction software, which would make it perfect for recording lectures, meetings or interviews.

The build quality also feels decent.

Bottomline, I would recommend. The product works as promised, is easy to use, is compact and light weight, and is a great way to record lectures, meetings, interviews, etc.

This is a press and go, type of recorder, that is easy to use and fast on the response time. Its easy to carry and does the job in a simple intuitive way. The sound quality is above average for such a small device, and it is simple to use once you have connected it to your computer.

I recently bought the OnceJoy 64GB Voice Recorder and I’m very happy with it. As a student, I needed a reliable device for recording lectures, and this recorder is perfect.

The audio quality is excellent. Even in noisy environments, it captures clear sound. I’ve recorded lectures where the speaker was far away, and it still sounds great. The noise reduction feature helps focus on voices and reduces background noise.
