I like that this is wire free, USB charged, portable and simple to clasp on and off. I purchased a different type initially but the wire was too disturbing for me. Glad I found this one!

In CCT mode the display shows the temperature in Kelvin with 4 digits. The adjustments change by 10° increments and the changes are made quickly so it's not tedious to hold down the button and get to the setting you want. In HSI there is a lot of latitude for getting the look you are after.
The M16 has a limited amount of light output so I quickly saw that I would end up using it to spice up occasional close up photos but for my video work it probably won't be a feature. For example before it arrived I thought maybe it could be a hair light for stills and video but it gets washed out as soon as any other continuous light source is used. In the animated GIF of samples, the room was in darkness; the continuous light was a 300W unit but set to only 5% power, about 5 feet away. Those images are all far too dark to work for recording people. The full frame mirrorless camera was less than 3 feet from the product, working at 1/80s, f5.6, and ISO on Auto was shifting between 8000 and 12800. For the single shot of the small white column the M16 was at full output and about 6 inches away in a "lights out" room.
Overall it is nicely made and as I said, easy to operate. There's certainly no penalty in packing this tiny thing with your gear just in case. The accessories help in positioning the light and the case has a brass insert 1/4-20 female thread. I would either just lean it up against something, drop it inside an empty space to open up shadows in the shot, or suspend it inches from the object on a flexible arm to give a bit of lift to a spot that the main light is not reaching.
My closing observation is that I will use it to "spice up" an otherwise uninteresting small composition or try to be a band-aid to some awkward to reach dark zone. I'm not seeing this being a mood light in the corner of a room (e.g. the YouTube influencer style) at the exposure levels I use for photos or videos, especially with people as the subjects.
This M16 light is simple to operate even without going into the instructions. The 3 modes of operation are reached by sequential presses, not a menu, so you step through 1 or more presses to get to the one you want: CCT, HSI (hue, saturation, intensity), or Scene (for effects).

I got this light and for a friend for their birthday. They recently opened it and at first they said it worked great! They had to go charge it and it wouldn’t charge. We tried using another cable but no cable would make it charge. It is fairly disappointing for the price point for it to just stop working.

This was a great purchase. I’ve used it almost every single day since it arrived. It’s not only great for your phone, but it works well in small spaces. I actually used it the other day while doing a repair on my car. The battery lost a significant amount of time.

This light clip is so great! I had been really wanting one off of TikTok shop for the longest time, but couldn't stand how expensive they were. When I saw this version here on Amazon I was so excited! I have been bringing this little gadget with me on all of my travels and its yet to steer me wrong! The light is extremely bright and makes any photo or video picture perfect. Its extremely easy to use, charge and has stayed durable throughout me throwing it into countless purses, backpacks and suitcases.

Great photo lighting option

I watched a video on things I must have and saw one of these so I decided to get it to try it out. I work from home, have video meetings, and record training videos all the time. I must say, I didn't know I needed this but now that I have it, I won't be able to live without it! The light is very bright but you can adjust the brightness to your liking. You can also change it to warmer or cooler settings with just the touch of a button. It is lightweight and simple to use. This does have several small lights when you turn it on. I have another device like this that does not have it and I think I prefer the one without the dots but if you take a lot of selfies, have video meetings, or record your own videos, this is a must have item!
