Another feature adding to the light’s versatility is that there are quite a few angles of coverage that can be achieved when the ‘phone is attached to the clip (the 180° rotating mount clip, 360° rotating 1/4'' nut adapter) by bending the light forwards and backwards, and rotating it3. The clip is strong (although I worry what it might do to my ‘phone protector and case over time, so I tend to not clip the light to my ‘phone)4. The Selfie light is extremely light weight, and compact - 4” x 3” x 1/2”5. The ‘bonus’ cold/hot shoe camera adapter included (not mentioned anywhere in Glisiol’s advertising or in the instructions for the Selfie Light) is also very useful [SEE PHOTOS]CONS - WHAT I DID NOT LIKE1. The USB C port on this Glisiol Clip On Selfie Light has been built so that only the supplied USB C to USB A cable, and one other USB C to USB A cable that I have will activate charging - and I have MANY of these cables, all of which work in many other USB C chargeable devices. So, if this cable stops working at some point, it might be difficult (and expensive) to find a replacement charging cable that worksFrom what I can see, the supplied charging cable, and the other one I have that successfully charges this unit both have a ‘blade’ [the metal ‘male’ part that inserts into the ‘female’ charging slot] which are slightly longer than most other blades - far too difficult to measure with a ruler, but obvious to the human eye2. Although it is easy to work out how to use this light in under 30 seconds, and although the instructions for this unit have the correct line drawing illustration of the Glisiol Clip On Selfie Light, they are incorrect in one - important - respect. Namely, the On/Off button is NOT also the Mode button which can be pressed “again for cycles”. There is a separate Mode button (to scroll through the 3 Colour modes: bright white, bright white + warm yellow, warm yellow)

This is a very nice little selfie light. It comes with two different mounting options - an alligator clip that can attach to any reasonably thin, flat surface (e.g. the top of an LED monitor or laptop lid) and a cold shoe mount for on a camera. It also has a standard threaded input so it can be put on a tripod or other camera-compatible stand. Charging is managed through USB-C, and a USB-A to C cable is included. You have to bring your own power supply.
Function wise, there are a few simple buttons on the device. There's of course an on/off button, and then there are buttons to adjust the brightness and colour temperature of the light. Colour temperature is handled in a pretty clever way - there are two different sets of LEDs in the light at two different temperatures, by switching between which LEDs are on, you can basically get three different colour temperatures (I took some photos of the different combos). It's simple, but very effective.
Finally, I was worried about this reflecting off my glasses in video chats. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that having it mounted on top of my monitor meant that it does not reflect off my glasses. The light it produces is great, with the brightest setting being way too much for my environment.
