Radiator Cap Leakage Test1. Remove the original radiator cap 2 Choose the appropriate joint 2a or 2b and connect it to the radiator cap 3. Create a Vacuum in The Cooling System1. Turn on the air switch and air control valve, while coolant 2. Control valve remains off, to create a vacuum in the cooling system 3. When the pressure falls into the range between -50 and -60 cmHg (-20 and -25 inHg), turn off the air control valve and then air switch |
Choose a Suitable Adapter1. Drain coolant from the radiator. 2. Hook the gauge underneath the car’s hood 3. Connect shop air to shop air connector 4. Connect the conical adapter or a suitable test cap onto the radiator filler neck |
Maintenance/storage:
1.Attach the test adapter to quick couple of hand pressure pump, then press the hand pressure pump few times to push remain water out the test adopter
2.Drop pneumatic oil into the air hole of the hand pump end to lubricate the piston of hand pump
Safety Tips:
1. Take care when opening the cooling system. Cooling system may be under pressure and hot coolant can spray out
2. Before dismantling the pump or the adapter release the pressure
3. Check if the cooling fluid is one correct level and with frost protection after the pressure test or repair
