I use this daily to blow dry my hair. My hair looks so voluminous when used correctly. I checked a bunch of youtube tutorials to make the most out of the product. The product has three heat settings- cold, low and high. I mostly use the low heat setting and the styling turns out pretty good.

Value for money: Absolutely! For those of us still thinking if Dyson is worth it, this is a pretty good budget hair styling tool.

Does it damage the hair?- Use the right products and use good amounts of heat protectant. I avoid the high heat settings and the low one pretty much does the job so I usually don’t need to. Honestly I think this is one of the best hair styling tools out there. There is another product from Revlon with a wider brush which is also awesome!

Drying: Let your hair air dry before you style using this tool. Heat on wet hair ends up making my hair look frizzy but that is true for all heat tools.

Worth buying?- Yes!

I had a Conair hot air brush that lasted for at least 10 years, its replacement lasted for 5, that one's replacement lasted less than a year. Same model, different colour finishes. Seeing the trend to crappier quality/adding to the landfill problem there, thought I'd go large on top quality and get the Dyson hair dryer with all the dumb attachments. I will be selling that. Too loud, too hot, too harsh for fine hair and the tools are just baffling. So. Moved on again to this Revlon hot air brush. Larger than I expected, but fairly easy to handle, the bristles are nylon but soft and short so I haven't gotten into a tangle yet. My fine hair seems to like it and responds well if I let it air dry 75% before using the appliance. But, again, like the Dyson, so hot, even on the lowest heat setting and so very loud. Why would manufacturers think it's ok to use a tool that loud right next to your ears? My husband has a near-professional wood working shop and his comment on passing by when I was using this tool was that I should be wearing ear protection at that decibel.
