These feel sturdy and solid. The locking mechanism feels smooth, but it should be oiled when you get them. It's the size of a large Master padlock. The finish is very good. You can change the code; just read the instructions. I have two more of these and they are dependable.

This is not a super high-security lock, but it's a great value for a theft deterrence device. The convenience of a 4-digit code compared to carrying (and possibly losing) a key was the main selling point for me. I was impressed at the heft and solid feel of the lock. Setting the combination was simple but that's when I began to wonder how robust the internal components of the lock are. This was just my impression. The number dials spin smoothly and the lock opens easily once the combination is set. I trust the lock to secure my items in public places like a gym locker room.

Pros - Rugged
- Easy to set combination
- No worry about lost keys
- Can withstand the elements in outdoor use
- I especially like the combination reset system with basically three windows so that one can get a good grip to turn the numbers unlike many competing products with only one window to turn the numbers. If the number you want to turn gets stuck (Trust me, that will happen over time), you can get a good grip to exert force on the stuck number with this lock. With the conventional one window design, you will be strugggling using your nails or some ill fitting screw driver etc.
Cons - None at all. Durability can only be revealed over time.
