  1. After connecting the mini projector, select an appropriate signal source [HDMI] or [USB]. If it shows "no signal", press the [Back] key on the remote control, go back to the main menu, and re-select the signal source.
  2. The quality of Type-C to HDMI adapters on the market varies, we recommend that you purchase a Miracast HDMI Dongle or Chromecast HDMI dongle for a wireless connection, and make sure that your smartphone has a Screen Mirroring/Screen Projection function.
  3. Not all devices support HDMI adapter connections, please check whether your device supports the protocol of DP Alt Mode before buying Type-C to HDMI adapter. For the Samsung Galaxy Flip series, Samsung A series phone/J6/J7/M20/M30s, Huawei Series, Xiaomi Series, Redmi Series, and One Plus Series, you need to purchase an additional Dongle for wireless connection.

1. Why can't I play Netflix/Hulu/Prime Video videos on this mini projector?

Please notice that streaming services do NOT support screen mirroring due to copyright protections. You can hook up a streaming stick like Fire TV Stick or Roku Stick to the projector via HDMI port or use HDMI Cable to connect your PC/Laptop to stream on the mini projector.

2. Why is there no sound when playing video?

Most projectors on the market do not support Dolby audio. If there is no sound, please check if Dolby Audio is turned off. Besides, some files encoded by Dolby/AC3/DTS may not be able to play sound due to copyright issues.

You can turn off Dolby audio on the streaming media like Netflix: Settings > Display & Sounds > Audio > Dolby Digital Output > Dolby Digital (OFF)

3. Why can't my flash drive be recognized when I insert it to the mini projector?

Please check the Hardware Interface of your flash drive. The mini projector features a USB 2.0 interface, and only supports USB 2.0 USB flash drive with memory less than 64GB(interface color: black). USB 3.0 USB flash drive is not supported(interface color: blue).

4. What should I do if the screen shows "no signal"?

Please note that you need to select the appropriate signal source [HDMI] or [USB] after connecting your device to the video projector. If it shows "no signal" at the beginning, you can select the [Back] key on the remote control to return to the main menu and re-select the signal source.

5. When I connect the Firestick, can the power supply end of the Firestick be plugged into the projector at the same time?

Yes, a certain distance is specially set between the HDMI and USB ports of the Y3 mini projector, as the distance between the two interfaces of most projectors is very close, which brings inconvenience to the use of the TV stick. Such an interface layout is to facilitate the connection of TV sticks and other similar devices.

6. What should I do if there is a black spot on the screen?

Since the projector is not sealed, it is relatively common for the dust to enter the lens through the vents or speakers. You can remove the sticker on the bottom center of the projector, then open the black cover and clean it with a cotton swab.

Note: Be careful not to look directly into the light source of the projector.

The last projector in our family would be from over 25 yrs ago. Having seen what technology can do these days, thought I would try one at "beginners' level". This one seemed nice, handy and affordable. I first used it on a white wall (the corals projected to about 85"). It'd be nice if it's brighter but considering the product size, I was quite satisfied with the image resolution (the room needs to be dark). I later used it on a 120" projector screen, which itself is a bit blurred than the white wall, still, I found the colours from an IMAX blu-ray (fishes pic) decent enough, I prefer the 120" screen when watching good action movies for that cinema effect. I would put on a headphone for better sound. The only issue was its overheating problem, the power adaptor got warm quickly and became hot before I finished a 90-min movie, which to me was a main concern, I never had any other things with such hot power supply, it's not safe. I emailed Yoton about the problem and was told it wasn't meant to be that way, and they realized some products in the same batch also had a problem with excessive power. They wrote me steps on how to upgrade the software, and the whole upgrade process was finished quickly. After upgrading, the projector seemed less hot, yet, unfortunately still hotter than normal, so I put a fan next to it to cool it down. Soon afterwards I bought another projector which is a lot brighter but also a lot bigger and heavier. With its features and convenience, this Yoton still comes in handy when you need a portable projector. They have very good customer service, someone with a name who replied promptly, not just a phone no. where you could never reach anyone.

I find this product very useful as per my requirement. I have been using it from a month now. I am listing following pros and cons about it.

Pros
1. Portability. Size is portable enough to carry anywhere you go.
2. Picture quality is decent (Subjected to proper adjustment).
3. No heating issues. I have used for 4 -5 long hours but did not find any parts of the product is getting heated.
4. Easy installation.

Cons:
1. Sound quality is so so. It provides clear sound but is not enough. I would recommend to attach external speaker to it get good sound quality.

2. The picture is blur (out of focus) at all the edges. I tried to fix it but seems like it cannot be fixed. But this does not create much problem in the visuals.

But as a whole I would say it value for money.

I messed around with an ASUS tiny LED projector and found it was great fun to play with. Then I found this one for a measly 67$CDN during a sale. For the price, it works fantastically well! It's bright enough to produce basic contrast (best in a dark room - will not work with daylight, the picture will be washed out). Colors are decently accurate (you can tweak them a bit through the menus - I definitely recommend to do so). Fan noise is low enough to forget about it, especially if you have headphones or a small speaker. Onboard speaker is predictably "meh" quality, so if you have a Bluetooth speaker handy without too much latency, it's worth using with this.

Only con would be that the power has to be from the wall - no way to feed it USB-C power delivery for instance - which would cut on the cables and adapters to carry with this tiny projector. As it is, it is not "camping worthy" unless you have an outlet nearby.

Otherwise, definitely recommended if you adjust your quality expectations in proportion to the price paid!

Product has a great image and is awesome for a fun movie night, but in the other hand it only work if I use a HDMI cable connected to my laptop which is awful, as I need to move things around to have my laptop and the projector together and very specific part of my small apartment.
I bought a hdmi to iPhone extender to use with my phone so I don’t have a big laptop and a bunch of cables, but the projector freeze and doesn’t work at all. Maximum I got one time was to show my iPhone screen and that’s it, it got frozen after that and didn’t work anymore.

I've been using it almost daily since I got it, it's perfect. It was easy to setup, I just connected it to my phone with an hdmi to usbc cable. The sound came out of the projector though and I wanted it to come from my headphones, but I only had to spend a bit of time troubleshooting on the first day and realised all I had to do was separate sound in my phone's settings and now the sound comes through my headphones which are connected to my phone and video output through the projector. The picture quality is honestly really good and it's really bright too, and if you find it not bright enough you can always change it in the settings. But the best part is I don't need my room to be completely dark to see the screen well, even with lighting the picture is pretty clear. And the size of the projector itself is perfect, it barely takes up any space, it's just slightly bigger than my hand. Highly recommend this product!

 Received my Yuton Y3 a few days ago and have been testing it out over the weekend.
This projector is very small in size and the 720P picture quality is better than I expect.
It is pretty clear even in a dim room and colour is very saturated.

However there are two problems that bothers me:

The first problem is that there are some dark spots in the picture which are caused by dusts on the lens or the LCD, I tried to removed them by tapping the projector, but that just move them around to another location. Also there are also some bright spots which I believe are from the hot pixels on the LCD and they cannot be removed.

Another, bigger problem is that the power adapter gets burning hot after just 20 minutes of use. I actually have to stop using it after a while, afraid that the power adapter will catch fire. And when I check the power adapter I saw that it doesn't have the UL or CSA certification.

I am returning this Y3. I think Yuton has some good tech there, and will check out the Yuton Y7 which might be better. Will review that one later.

I’ve used mine for over two years and it still works as great as when I first opened it. Customer service answered kindly within a day when I had a question or two (mostly how to project from my phone, and we figured it out). Nos ha funcionado muy bien, el dispositivo tiene bocina integrada pero su capacidad no es tan buena por lo que les recomiendo considerar añadir bocinas a través de un AUX. También nos ha Sido necesario usar un tripié o una repisa para colocar el proyector y ajustarlo a el espacio en el que nos encontremos.
