I had today only to check out these two identical combs. Very nice. The plastic is not a crappy plastic — it is an upper echelon of plastic, sort of rubbery. The plastic bends somewhat. The long prongs helped clean out a comb that had gotten dirty with hair, dust, cat hair, and a wazy substance made up of hair oils, turned wazy with time. This is a great comb to use right after bathing, where hair needs a pick to get out tangles, no matter whether straight, wavy, curly, or kinky. Snags are snags. Highly recommended.
