As a YouTuber this thing is fantastic
I am extremely happy with this purchase. In most of my YouTube videos The camera is more than a few feet away from me. The audio is often lacking if I use the built in camera or I end up with a professional studio mic in the shot. If I am talking from behind a drum set, there isn't a good way to frame the shot to not see the large mic.I bought this on a chance as I own about 30 mics (drummer / Musician) but no lapel mic. As a test I actually plugged it direct into my Canon 70D instead of my 32 channel mixer and I was very impressed. So impressed as I will record this way from now on. I no longer have to sync my audio and video If I am just talking in a video. If you are a vlogger this thing is a MUST have. My furnace kicked on during my video and I noticed it was very minimal compared to any other mic I have too.The TRRS to TRS connecter allows you to plug it into cameras, mixers, phones and pretty much anything you want.There are 2 negatives, but 1 is also a positive. First is the cable is thin. While The longevity may not be 20 years, I also don't want a garden hose running under my shirt while I record so this is also very nice. Just treat it well. The price also makes it easy to replace IF something were to happen. I'll update this review in time but so far this thing has been surprisingly durable. I can't tell you how often I walk away from my drums without unplugging a mic or my IEMS. (Custom molded IEMS really yank your head back too)The second being the cable is pretty short. The reason I have this is to be further from the camera. If you were recording to a device in your pocket, you are fine. Being 10 feet away from my camera I had to buy a 1/8 inch extension cable.
