When you arrive in Europe or even en route, install the SIM card in your phone. Note that you will need someplace safe for the original card! Do it on a table or safe area, so if you drop the SIM card (about the size of your pinky fingernail) you can find it and safely put it away. Once the card is installed and the phone turned on, you will get a notice, telling you what your new number is (a French number), as well as some helpful hints and contact numbers if you have issues. It works BEAUTIFULLY - all your old texts, addresses and emails are still there, I used the phone throughout Spain, France and Italy, with no trouble at all. Note that when navigating in a city with large buildings, GPS satellite signals are often reflected, which confuses the GPS function when trying to ascertain directions. HOWEVER, it you mark the position of your hotel (for example) you can read exactly where you are by looking at the MAP.. Remember how to use those? A street name or two will tell you easily where you are on the map, and once you get away from all the tall buildings and stone structures (reflectiing, scattering and hiding the "view" of the satellites) you can use it for directions. You can send photos home or to the "cloud", again, all without fear of roaming or additional charges. Excellent!

I bought this card for my kiddo travelling in Europe, it was great and on an important travel day stopped working. They tried reloading even if they were within the usage period and had not used all the Data. So it was useless after 10 days. Bought for my husband he left Thursday and he could not gget the card to work. It’s not our first time travelling and I’ve bought Orange cards in Paris without issues but these are not connecting so basically garbage.

When travelling in the past, i have always purchased an extra roaming plan from my carrier. I had a 3 week trip planned through Europe (Germany, Austria, Hungary, Czech) and was looking at $200 charge for the additional roaming plan with my carrier. This seemed exorbitant so I decided to try this travel SIM card option even though I was a little reluctant with removing / exchanging the SIM card. I was ecstatic at how well this worked. I powered off my phone during the flight and swapped out my SIM card. When i arrived at the airport in Germany, I powered on my phone and once the phone booted up, i immediately had an internet connection. It worked seamlessly and there was no issue when travelling across different countries in Europe. Very satisfied with how well this worked and needless to say will not be using roaming plans anymore. At any time you can text the number provided and it will tell you how much data you have left etc. Highly recommend.

The only thing I want to note is that if you want to register the card with orange the phone # you would enter online without the country code needs a zero in front. International calling and text, local calling and text all worked great!

Bought this SIM Aug 25th 2023 for a trip to Italy in Sept 9th 2023 to Sept 23rd 2023. Used 19.6 GB (14 days + 2 hrs) out of 30 GB (20 GB + 10 GB bonus).
Very pleased!
Inserted the SIM 2 hours before touch down in Rome, changed API settings to Orange International, put the phone to ROAM (this is a French cell number), restart the phone and the cell picked up the signal on landing around 11am. The SIM worked past 14 days and 2 hrs (Data and phone, we called back in Canada, just add two Zero in front of the desired phone number to dial) without any passport registration. Very impressed with that.
I did not need any tech support from Orange.
I thought that first day counts from 00:00 hours on first day of use, well that was not my case. It worked from 11am (first day of use) and 2 more hours on departure day (last day of use, the 15th day) .
Steve (Eternal Communications sales person) cautioned me about that.
Orange delivered more than promised in my case.

I had no problems with my actually SIM card itself. But when registering it asked for the 10 digit number and would not take it at all. I contacted Customer Service and no help no figured it out by entering 9 digits, not the 0 before country code and it worked. It says to pick Orange this when you’re in the country. Nope it picks whatever it finds automatically. I used the calling to North America feature and worked great and counted down the last few minutes. My friend however had problems the entire trip and customer service didn’t help. She couldn’t get hers to connect to anything. Finally we did in our 3rd day. And then we changed countries and it dropped her again. I emailed customer service for her as she had nothing, no real help. Did this again two more times, each time not helping. I am telling them we are in Europe and they replied to her when you get to your destination! Are they reading her emails(wi-fi did work). She would copy my network and hers would work. I might buy again, but would check out other options first.

So I have AT&T in the states so I do not have free roaming and data in Europe ... so after doing some basic research it seemed this was the best SIM card to use on a mobile hot spot that I have ....

I bought it 2 weeks before my trip and was a bit nervous about it ... so when I landed in Paris I turned on my mobile MIFI device .... the indicator both turned green (I was in airplane mode my entire time) and I clicked on wifi ... my devise popped up ... I clicked on it ... entered my password .... and for the next 10 days I had unlimited data and roaming ...

I used what's up to make phone calls and never had any issues ...

I'm sure I left g's behind but 2 people and 4 devices on it (2 iPhone and 2 iPads) and not once did we get knocked off or run out of data.

AT&T wants to charge $10 a day and this SIM card cost $30 total ....

Now I know what to buy next time I travel to Europe !! Highly recommend this SIM card ... so easy and fast

I have an unlocked iphone X and was able to pop the chip in when I landed in Paris and surf the web and text my friends friend numbers. While in Italy, I called some restaurants no problem. In Hungary, we didn't call or text any hungarian numbers but data worked well too. The only issue was when trying to buy something with my US credit card online, the website wanted to confirm it was me via text or call but I hadn't know what my EU number would be so the bank website only had my US number and therefore my online purchase had to be done with a friends card. For other apps, you may have to fill in your current country number which means going to your settings, no big deal just take note.

I got this sim card for my 10 days road trip spanning, Germany, France, Switzerland and Austria. I read some reviews with issues. So I ordered within 30 days of my return days of my trip. So if it does not work, and I could still try to get refund. Installation is easy. I inserted the sim card into my cell sim tray during the flight to Europe. Don't forget to bring the pin to open the tray. I and my family all have Samsung S24 unlock phone (check your carrier if your phone are unlocked). When we landed, phones were turned on and connected automatically to local carrier. It asked me to register which you can skip if you travel less than 30 days. I mainly used for google maps, internet search and others. But I have not used for phone call. Note that you will not get any messages from US. Internet speed was good. Going to different countries were also smooth and switched to local carrier.
For the price and with 12GB data (only used less than 5GB during 10 days trip), I would recommend it.

I activated mine when I switched planes in Frankfurt, Germany. It worked right away.

I had no issues with it (Voice / SMS / Data) in Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia or Finland.

They SMS you support contact information every time you arrive to a new country. As soon as you arrive to a new country, your connection switches to the local provider.

Since in most European cities you can find free WiFi almost everywhere, I only ended up using around 2GB of the 12GB allotted (In two weeks).

Why near perfect? I wish that they would give you more than 30 minutes in voice calls from Europe to the US (Minutes are so cheap nowadays, why skimp?). I used that up on the first two days. And yes, I did use WhatsApp for voice calls after that, but quality is not the best.
