1. When it is OFF but connected to my SmallRig power V99 - it is drawing 5.2V@0.8 watts, why?!? So if I left the cable connected I'm losing close to 1watt - its not much but still why the vampire power draw!!
Normal watt draw is around 6 watts (see pictures)
2. The DC connection is either bad or has a manufacturing issue - I tried 2 GOOD d-tap to DC cables and if I just turn the connector end at the monitor side. It locks up and goes dead (see video)
3. You need a Allen wrench to adjust and tighten the screw for the screen tilt and pan. It would have been much better if these were thumb screws. Now I have to carry around a Allen wrench and hope I don't misplace it during the shoot
4. Upgrade the firmware - out of the box running version -V2.07.13 1 and it seems to have issues with hdmi input from my Lumix (signal goes in and out). But after upgrading to V2.15.1D 1, not only did it fix this connection issue. But the GUI interface changed but the paper manual in the box and online doesn't reflect this.
Good
1. When it was working, the touch screen is very responsive and color reproduction is good. I'm using this field monitor on my Lumix GH3 and 4 - so far it's pretty decent as long as I don't use a D-TAP cable (just batteries)
2. Sun hood is ok - plastic but lighter than metal
3. The monitor is pretty light
4. There are many other features - like peak and waves forms (see vendor page)
