This is a replacement of my first order. Most poppers are still defective and the edge is ridiculously sharp.I cut myself while testing out the book.

 This book is perfection! My 3 year daughter who has autism absolutely LOVES this book. It is perfect for her sensory, she loves to push the little dots. It’s great for working on pointing with your children, teaching the names of the animals and of course counting. So much learning wrapped in one book. Only negative is the book is very heavy. But it opens nicely and the construction of the book is heavy to enable the poke a dot buttons to work. My 1 year old also loves this book and it’s easy for her to push the dots as well. Can’t wait to get more of these!

Pros and cons for this book. Pros: my daughter loves to poke the dots and it keeps her busy and occupied for a while. First con is that it’s quite heavy!! Not something that would be easy to travel with unless your little one is sitting for sometime. She will be 2 soon, and it’s difficult for her to carry around. Second con is the second pop outs are quite loud, like bubble wrap popping loud. So be aware if you have other little ones I could imagine it waking up another child close by.

All around good quality and idea, but I’m sure there is a way to make it not quite so heavy and a little less loud

This is a really cute book and my 2 year ole grandson loves popping the pops. Unfortunately a few of them do not work. I returned the book but the next one had even more pops that didn’t work so ended up keeping the first one.

I bought this for my niece (mainly for my sister who wanted it for her kids). I was wondering why this book cost so much and wasn't available in any book store. This book is THICK! And therefore heavy. But I now know it's because of the pop bits (not sure why I thought it was going to bubble wrap but it's not) which are some sort of plastic?

Anyway, the two nieces love it and it was worth it just for that.

This is the second Poke A Dot title I’ve ordered with defective poppers. First book had 6 poppers that didn’t work and immediately unpopped. Replacement book had 3. With the other title both original book and replacement had defective poppers also. And it seems Amazon won’t do a replacement a second time. I have a couple of these books from 2 years ago and didn’t have issues getting a properly functioning book. Quality control has obviously gone down hill the last year or so. Don’t waste your money or time trying to get a properly functioning book.

This is my daughter’s favourite by far, she got it when she was 15 months and absolutely loves it. She plays with the book by herself and we read and sing together as well as count the animals. I bet this will be one of those very long lasting toys!
