Wireless Multitasking Made Easy

One-touch controls on the CS540 Wireless Headset allow you to answer or end calls and adjust or mute the volume. The system also enables you to conference in up to three additional headsets for easier collaboration. The headset comes equipped with DECT 6.0 technology that allows you to talk hands free up to 350 feet away from the base.

Engineered for Outstanding Sound Quality

In addition to DECT technology, the CS540 offers wideband audio for clearer phone conversations. The headset's noise-canceling microphone filters out background noise and enhanced Digital Signal Processing (DSP) makes voices sound more clear and natural.

Multiple Wearing Styles to Suit Your Needs

The CS540 sports a sleek, lightweight design and has been tested for comfort. It can be worn over the ear for a discreet look or over the head for greater stability. A neckband (sold separately) also allows you to wear the CS540 behind the head.

Charging Base with Adaptive Power System

A sleek magnetic charging base is included with the CS540. An adaptive power system optimizes for range and talk time by automatically downshifting to low power when the headset is close to the base to save battery life.

Plantronics also offers the HL10 Handset Lifter which can be attached to your desk/office phone to complete your cordless headset system. The HL10 lifts up and replaces the handset so you don't have to be at your desk to answer the phone or to hang up.

Product and Warranty Information

The headset weighs 21 grams and offers up to seven hours of talk time on one battery charge.

The CS540 Wireless Headset is backed by a one-year limited warranty.

I bought this equipment to help me with my job so that I have handsfree capabilities to doing other tasks in the office.
The ear piece is very light - fits well and is attractive as well.
Set up was quite easy with the instructions included and there are videos online to use as well if you get stuck.
I was able to speak outside of the building very clearly as well, telling me that the hands free distance away from the unit does go very far.
Only thing to figure out yet, that I would like the BEEP to enter my earpiece when the phone rings so that if I am away from my desk I will be able to answer by touching the ear piece. At the moment I need to be in earshot of the ringer on my phone to do so.

Works great! Theres several earpieces included which allows you to adjust to your ear size and it comes with an arm to put over your head. Battery lasts me my entire shift (8hrs) and my ear doesn't get sore. There are settings to up your mic and speaker sound which is handy.
I work in an automotive shop (decently large building) and the range goes around the entire shop without interference. Love it!

I use this daily and it's saved my neck. For me, none of the included earbuds provided a comfortable fit so I ended up using the headband. The headband is very comfortable for my size 7.5 head and I consistently forget that I'm wearing it. It was a little pain to set it up but the struggle is worth it. I can answer the phone when I'm sitting outside in the office garden, in the kitchen stuffing my fat face, or at a coworker's station and continue the conversation as I walk back to the office and my boss thinks I'm still at my desk. It doesn't let me go too far away from my desk but I believe the distance is limited to about 75' through walls and will reduce with the # of walls/ angle of penetration. I think the 350' range advertised is best case scenario of direct line of sight and no other wireless signals present. Still, if you're answering the phone when you're 300' away from your computer and your customer/client/boss is okay with the wait to get back to the computer you're either a great sprinter or so charismatic & charming that you are in the wrong line of work.

The audio clarity is great. However, I have noticed that if I'm using the speakerphone and the base station is near the phone I'll get a little bit of interference on the line. This is quickly resolved by unplugging the base station.

This has become one of my favorite office purchases. The lifter works exceptionally well once you get it in the correct position. The headset took a bit of a learning curve with my phone model, but once I got sorted out, it greatly impacted my work efficiency.
