This worked straight out of the box. I cannot comment on support because I didn't need any.
Have used a lot around Ontario and flew to UK and Ireland. No connection issues.
Only concern I had on my first flight was the signal stopped at airport after checking in bag. When I landed at destination, the app was still showing it at departing airport. Maybe the baggage containers block the signal. About 30 mins after landing it then displayed correct location.
