Look nice, fits well in the space i have and has been strong enough to hold several heavy coats.

Yes some pieces will look different shades of colour/stain. That is the nature of wood. Some pieces will take the stain better then others as there are many factors for this. You will be hanging things on the rack which will cover it anyway. I wouldn't let it bother you.
