I bought these cables to connect an LED controller (which only has screw terminals for output) to an LED lamp. I ended up having to snip off the pre-tinned ends and strip it back, because the terminals wouldn't work with the tinned leads.

The cable is working perfectly well, and the 2.1mm connector fits snugly into the socket.
