Finally, a thermal printer for stencils that can actually handle the layered stencil paper! I've tested these before and always been disappointed, but this one is perfect. It connects to my phone easily, no real set-up needed other than to install the app if you didn't already have it, and go! I have also use Phomemo thermal printers with my laptop, but only wired, not wirelessly. For some reason my laptop just won't accept them wirelessly.This printer ships with a USB cord and USB-C adapter, a manual, a drawstring storage bag, and a sample pack of transfer paper. Plenty to play with as you get used to it. This will, of course, also print on regular thermal paper.

I wish the app had a little more to offer but honestly you don't need it because you can take any image you want from pretty much anywhere and print it off as a tattoo stencil. I have used it a while and I am not disappointed. I really hope they do an update on the app tho and it would put this machine over the top. Very happy. It's pretty quiet but once in a while if I kinda put the paper in on an angle it will make noise but it's nothing loud. Also it prints fast. I would recommend it but practice adjusting things in the app until you figure it out . After I messed around with it and played with the different options I now know exactly how to make the print Come out perfect but the first couple times I was mad cause I thought it was the machines fault for printing horrible but it was me and what I had set to. So play with it for 5 Minutes and you'll be happy with it i promise. I recommend 👌 oh yah and the battery seems good cause I honestly have not even charged it and I have used it alot.

The printer is currently on sale for just under $170, which is more in line with the prices of other portable printers. However, the retail cost of $239.99 is quite high. I have had the opportunity to try many portable printers for work-related thermal prints, such as documents, emails, and notes on the go, as well as for tattoo flash. Many of these printers perform similarly, and there are multiple brands that offer the same product at a lower price. Some of these brands even use the same Phomemo app for printing.

Despite this, the Phomemo printer is still a great product. It comes in updated packaging compared to previous models and includes a cloth bag for easy travel. These printers are very useful if you have a specific need for them. The prints come out clear and sharp, especially for documents. With the transfer paper, the tattoo stencils are very usable and save a lot of time compared to drawing them by hand.

Phomemo is a reputable brand, and I own several of their printers, including my main shipping label printer. However, it is important to note that you do pay a bit of a premium for the Phomemo name.

I just needed a small tattoo portable printer to easily print tattoo stencils on transfer paper to simplify my work. This was ideal since there were no drying up ink cartridges, it sat neatly on my very small table, and it took up very little room to print transfers of excellent quality. Exactly what I needed to find. My iPad was simple to connect to, and the app downloaded promptly. Great price for the printer of good quality!

- This is a very portable printer. It comes with a pouch for carrying and storage. Some other models offer a hard case and so it depends on your preferences. I don’t mind either option. You need to download an app in order to work with this printer.

- NOTE: This thermal printer is design for tatoo stencil. However, it's the same thermal printer like other thermal printers on the marker. The only difference between this and the thermal printer is the paper. One have tatoo stencil, the other have thermal pages for you to test out. But they are the same printer.

- Printing is easy. Just use the app. This printer works by using heat on the thermal paper, just like a receipt that you see nowadays. Note that if you’re using hand sanitizer, remember to have your hand completely dry before handling the paper, else the alcohol cleaner will smear all the prints.

- Overall, the thermal printer is great in situations where you don’t want to lug along a printer, or in places where you don’t have an electrical outlet nearby since this is battery operated.

Model: TP81. One more gorgeous stand-alone thermal printer by Phomemo (Zhuhai Quin Technology Co. Ltd.) that is very similar in shape, size, and features to M08F model. Both are made specifically for a US letter size thermal print paper and will NOT work with smaller size sheets. The difference is, TP81 is made and sold as a "tattoo" printer, while M08F is mostly for plain thermal paper (but it can in fact print on stencil paper as well). These two models also require different non-interchangeable drivers to be installed. I did not try printing from an app on a smartphone, but expect the apps to be different as well.

The printer comes with a nice fleece pouch, two short USB cables, and sample sheets of thermal stencil paper, in a firm black cardboard box that is looking good for gifting. There are printer drivers that will need to be downloaded and installed if you need to use this printer with a PC, otherwise you will need an app for your phone. The manufacturer's website (see sticker on the printer for web address) offers drivers coupled with clear instruction videos for installation on Windows, MAC, and Linux operating systems, as well as apps for iOS and Android. There is also a Chrome browser extension in the list of drivers, so there is very little chance that you will not be able to make this printer work for you.

I wanted to test it with Linux Mint 20.3 on the same computer with which I previously tested the M08F model, but for some reason could not overwrite the existing printer driver. Instead of spending much time digging into the problem, I switched over to a "clean" Linux PC and got the TP81 driver installed without any issues. As all thermal printers, it is printing at a slow pace, but the quality of printed lines is very smooth and crisp.

To conclude, I would readily recommend buying this printer. I like its design, its shape, and its ability to print from a smartphone. And since it is running on rechargeable battery, you can take it with you anywhere and not depend on local electrical power supply.

A high quality printer which has the ability of producing very good quality tattoo prints but can also be used as a normal printer with thermal paper. Set-up was easy and did not really have to refer to the instruction leaflet - a lot of the information on this printer can be easily found online.

If portability and convenience is key then a portable printer like this one makes sense. With tattoo printers your options are rather limiting for this price range so this product has carved a bit of a niche and does it well. You don't need to worry about running out of ink but will need expensive paper/tattoo paper.

The battery lasts well and the app is intuitive to use. If you download the Windows driver, you can connect to PC and use it as a standard mono printer - ideal for business travellers. There are other Phomemo printers geared towards pure office printing which may be a better choice as the app is biased towards tattoo prints with the TP81.

I have only done some tattoo prints for practise and the quality comes out great. I have used these to then practise on fake skin which works really well. The resolution is certainly sharp enough for the job.

Ich habe lange darüber nachgedacht diesen zu kaufen, da es ja noch alternative Drucker dieser Marke auf Amazon zu kaufen gibt. Ich muss allerdings sagen das dieser Kauf die richtige Entscheidung war. Dieser Drucker ist super schnell und einfach einzurichten + die Druckqualität ist super. Er ist ziemlich gut verarbeitet, druckt ebenfalls sehr schnell und man diesen überall mit nehmen kann. So I was using an Epson Eco-tank printer for about a year. I always felt like my stencils never lasted on skin & always wiped away, which is extremely stressful when you're in the middle of a tattoo. Anyway, I saw a youtuber comparing the durability of the eco tank stencils vs a thermal printer and I decided to give this a try. WELL ITS GOING AMAZING. So far I've only done a few so I'm hoping it lasts long. BUT its easy to set up (just follow directions) and the stencils FREAKING LAST!!! Even after multiple wipes. The longer you let it dry on the skin, the longer it'll last. I bought Spirit transfer ink paper and compared this brand to that one. I would say Spirits is a touch better, but only because I like the purple ink better than the blue one and it bleeds out a little less. BUT IT LASTS. The app for the printer is easy to use & the lines are CRISP. Honestly, I regret not switching to a thermal printer sooner !!!
