Philips Avent Soothie is the pacifier brand distributed in hospitals nationwide, used by doctors & nurses to soothe newborns. Its one piece construction is specially sized and shaped for babies 0-3 months old and adheres to the American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines. Soothie is designed to calm and soothe without inhibiting normal oral development, like the natural development of teeth and gums. Transparent, tasteless and odorless, the nipple is strong and smooth. It won't become sticky, discolored or misshapen. Soothie is made of hospital-grade, BPA-free and latex-free silicone for strength, comfort and durability. It is dishwasher safe and can be sterilized in a sterilizer.

When I was expecting my baby, I got all kinds of pacifiers to try. Some were as much as $15 each and could only be found in specialty stores. After four months, I can assure you that Avent pacifiers were the only pacifiers we needed. Not only did my baby gravitate towards these and love them, but they are also easy to clean/sanitize - they are one piece to crevices to clean. AND (it is VERY important), you can find them easily on amazon or in a drug store. This is important because sometimes you lose them and must get them on short notice.

The media could not be loaded.
 These are quite bulky and my baby didn’t approve the shape (she just wouldn’t take it), so I had to pick a flat pacifier instead.
Good value for the money though.

These were recommended by the lactation consultant to help with my babies latch and suction, the soothers wider part at the base allows his lips to be used to latching a wider area. Since using these his latch along with suction when breastfeeding has improved immensely. These also have helped greatly to sooth him and he has been crying a lot less! I highly recommend these

Best pacifiers! I only started giving the pacifier about 4 weeks after breastfeeding to ensure I established a latch. Baby refused all other pacifiers. This is the only one that baby liked! We also use these in the NICU with our premature babies.

When we were going home from the hospital. I ask a pacifier for my baby to the nurse because I’m afriad that the baby will cry while on the way home. This is the one that the nurse gave to my baby and she ia very peaceful until we got home. So I decided to purchased an extra and it’s very helpful for us.

We used these with our daughter and hope to use them with our son. I love these because they are one solid piece so they are easy to sanitize there’s no where for water to get stuck. They also last a really long time for us they dont break easily and our daughter would chew on them. My daughter even preferred these as she was older compared to the more durable soothies rated for older babies. Hands down our favorite binky and we tried ALOT.
