I recently had the opportunity to try out the Philips OneBlade First Shave Handle, and it has completely transformed my shaving routine. As someone who has tried various grooming tools over the years, I can confidently say that the OneBlade First Shave is a game-changer. The razer is made of a hard plastic material, with an "on-and-off" switch discretely placed in the middle of the handle. The blade is protected; thus, you cannot cut yourself while handling the razor. Additionally, the product is provided with a razor cover and a charging cable, though no wall adapter is included.The real standout feature of the OneBlade e is its performance. It effortlessly glides over my skin, whether I'm shaving or trimming. The blade is sharp and precise, and it doesn't irritate my skin or cause nicks or cuts. I appreciate the dual-sided blade that allows me to shave in both directions, making the process quick and efficient. A nice feature of the First Shave edition of the Philips line is that it is gentle on the skin. Cleaning and maintaining the OneBlade is a breeze. I can easily rinse it under the tap (though the handle itself is not entirely water-proof), and the blade replacement process is quick and hassle-free. Additionally, the battery life of this device is impressive. A single charge lasts me several weeks, which is a huge convenience. It ensures that I can take it with me for travel without worrying about carrying a charger.Overall, at the product's current price point of $34.97 CAD, the razor delivers in all aspects. The blade is gentle on the skin, prevents nicks or cuts, is easy to clean, has tremendous battery life, and provides a clean shave every time. Without a doubt, I would recommend the Philips OneBlade First Shave.

My wife shaves my head with one and I shave my chest hair and private areas . It’s the best razor and trimmer around for that purpose. I gave it 4 stars because they need to drop the cost of replacement blades. Gouging people once they bought the product is not a good long term policy for the product itself. People eventually find an alternative product to replace it so be happy you have a better mousetrap for the moment but I am sure many people already do not buy replacement blades at the exorbitant asking price.

What made me appreciate the Philips replacement blades the most was trying a variety of knock off blades from other sites that shall remain nameless. I had a lot of issues with the cheaper blades which ranged from them not fitting into the OneBlade properly, to painfully tugging on whiskers as they cut and none of the knock offs got me the super close shave of the original blades.

One flaw (maybe intentional) of the blade design is they they can only be inserted one way. I use the top portion of the blade way more than the bottom portion (and it's awkward to trim my beard by turning the OneBlade upside down). It would be great if you could just flip the blade around when one side gets to be too dull and there's still life left on the other side.

That, and the relatively high cost of the replacements means that it's only a 4/5 for me.
