Philips Avent Natural Response nipple lets baby control the pace of the milk, like they do when breastfeeding. The nipples' unique opening and tip only releases milk when your baby actively drinks. When pausing to swallow and breathe no milk flows. Baby can drink, swallow, and breathe using their natural rhythm, just like they do when breastfeeding. Easily combine breast and bottle feeding with a wide breast-shaped nipple with a soft feel that mimics the shape and feel of a breast; plus baby controlling the flow of milk. The nipple has a no-drip design which helps prevent lost milk from the tip. An anti-colic valve integrated into the nipple is designed to reduce colic and discomfort by sending air away from your baby's tummy. The Natural response nipples come in flow rates 1-5, to keep up with your baby's growth. Use Philips Avent Natural bottles only with Philips Avent Natural nipples. It is totally natural for your baby to take 2-3 tries to get milk flowing from a new bottle. We've been using Philips Avent bottles and nipples for our baby since the beginning. We replaced the nipples every 3 months and upgraded to this flow rate which we think is right for her. We use the Philips sterilizer to clean them. There was one time we tried a different bottle with different nipple, and she just didn't want to suck on it. Maybe she's so accustomed to this and wouldn't take a different one.

I have used Avent bottle with all of my kids. I recently had twins (5yrs after my last pregnancy) and I can't get over these new nipples! I bought 8 size 1 nipples knowing that it was a good start for new born specially preemies since I was already used to flow of it from previous buy (5yrs ago) and boy was I wrong. My boys ate struggling so hard to get anything out of them. I thought about making a bigger hole but I decided to go up a size to 2... bight 8 of them.... waste of money! They still struggle! I bought a size 3... still struggling size 4 seems to be working for us finally but now I have spent so much money of the previous nipples because they changed the flow of them. AVENT really needs to fix this. It's a shame that they have changed the flow of these nipple cause they ate truly great nipples. So if anyone needs to buy nipples I would suggest to start at size 3 or 4 with newborns. Don't waste your money like I did.

I’ve used all the sizes and they are perfect for bottle feeding and making sure your child doesn’t receive too much milk in one suck and keeps them from swallowing too much air and having gassy stomachs

Ripples work great, but I ordered 2 of thr 4 packs and only received 2 of the 2 packs.. so instead of getting 8 ripples I only got 4.. kinda disappointed

I got them for many reasons. First of all I got the glass one. I am one of these crazy people that avoid plastics and I know the lid is plastic and nipple is silicone but I feel safe and have piece of mind that nothing bad leaching to my baby’s milk during warming milk/formula. Second of all I love this nipple. It works and looks like real nipple/ breast due to its ripples. It doesn’t leak if filter or put up side down or fall. Great fit. The baby has to actually suck in order to release milk/formula. It forces baby to correctly latch which minimize the amount of air it will suck so this itself makes it great choice. Less gasses less upset tummy. Durable, wash them multiple times a day and sterilize by emerging in boiling water and it works really well.
