Our two cats always begged for running/moving water so I figured it was time to invest in a fountain. This fact the it is porcelain and not cheap plastic is nice. It is large, easy to clean, pretty and both cats - especially our old boy who is the one who REALLY preferred moving water - love it.

The only drawback I will mention is it is not whisper quiet, in my opinion. It by no means sounds like a geyser but in a small house like ours, when placed in our kitchen, it can definately be heard from every room. But it's a pleasent sound and we got used to it.

This product is very nice looking and well made. The size is perfect and you dont hear the motor. My chihuahua loves it. She was using another fountain but was cheap looking,cheaply made, and motor very loud. This one is not that. The only issue i have is the waterfall is loud. If the fountain were in a pet room or a room further away from your main areas it wouldnt be a problem. Im in an apartment and hear it running all the time. I will get used to it i suppose but when reading reviews and peoples complaints about loudness of waterfall i didnt really take it to heart....until now. I feel it is much healthier for my chihuahua though. Its easy to clean as its ceramic and not plastic. She gives this fountain 5 stars....i give it 4 only because of the loud waterfall sound.

Easy to read instructions and set up. This product is seems well made and has increased my two cats water intake by 100%. Our two cats were drinking from a 250 ml from a small bowl every two days and now I am adding 500 ml to this fountain in the same amount of time.

The fountain is quiet if you keep the water level up high, if you let the water level drop of course the water fall further and makes more noise but it is not unbearable it is more of a reminder that you need too top up the fountain.

Changing the filters is easy and the filter prices seem to be the lowest for the this unit, but you can double check that for yourself. I am using filtered spring water for my cats as I don't like them drinking city water, so I am able to extend th elife of my filters.

I think this unit is a bit pricey at full price so I would wait for a sale of some kind when you make your purchase. I did see itin a brick and mortar store for over $120 but I was able to get mine on Amazon for $61.99. I think for that price it is reasonable.

I bought this fountain a few months ago. It's my 3rd pet fountain in the last 5 years and overall I'm very happy with it for the following reasons:

Pros:
- It's aesthetically pleasing
- It holds a large volume of water (I pour 2 pitchers of water into it for a fresh set-up)
-It's easy to take apart and clean (simple pieces, no hard-to-reach corners)
-The ceramic stays clean longer than plastic

Cons:
-As others have stated, it can be a bit loud, especially as the water level goes down. At it’s optimum water level, I don’t mind the sound at all (and I live in a small, 1 bed-room apartment) It’s no louder than a large desktop computer fan, and nicer sounding to boot. As the water level goes down, the splash/sound factor does increase and I can see this annoying someone. I’ve had a contingency plan in my back pocket since purchase that I haven’t had to use yet…If the sound bothered you too much, you should be able to find an object (a smooth rock, or a glass) to set under the spouts on each side to interrupt the free-fall of water. Just make sure whatever you use is clean, safe and not going to release particles or anything into your pet’s water dish. It would alter the aesthetic of the dish, but it could definitely save you from re-selling if the sound was driving you bonkers.

I wanted to post a review because I did a lot of online research before trying this fountain and it was really a slam-dunk. It met all my needs and is far superior than the metal and plastic fountains I’ve had in the past

Very loud running water sound , quite large, Cats are afraid of it

While this item is nice to look at and seems to be well made, the pump might be a little too high powered for the intent. It sounds like I have left the taps running in the kitchen and my cats are not drinking from it. One is even preferring toilet water now. My other cat keeps pestering me to turn the tap in the bathroom on to drink ( he was the reason why I purchased this, because he was waking me at 5 am for water). The tap situation has not resolved for him and I have to pee every time I go in the kitchen now, from the persistent sound of running water. I wish I had kept the bowl of water and still had $110 + tax in my pocket.
I have it unplugged most of the time now and they still don’t use it. Maybe I can use it to gro hydroponic lettuce?!

La base trae espacios para que pase el cable eléctrico sin que se aplaste y se puede separar la sección donde viene el contacto para poder manipularla más fácilmente al lavarla.
Curiosamente, a ninguno de mis gatos les gustó beber el agua de la parte superior ni de la caída de la torre, sino de la parte inferior de la fuente. Y, para que tuvieran más espacio para beber de ahí, giré la torre interna.
Como los gatitos son peculiares, si pongo la fuente a competir con una cubeta llena de agua, se decantan por la cubeta, pero definitivamente la fuente se ve mejor y hace que circule el agua.
Llevo dos años con la fuente, más o menos, y no ha fallado ni tenido problemas. Simplemente con cambiar las partes reemplazables (filtro y esponja) en buen tiempo es más que suficiente.

This is the third Drinkwell fountain I've owned (preceded by the Platinum and then the Stainless 360). I've been happy with the quality of all three, but the ceramic Pagoda is my favourite. I should mention that I've had three not because of any issues with any of the models (they've all worked well and I've passed my former fountains on and they're still going strong, years later), I'm just a sucker for nice new products.

The Platinum was great in terms of water reservoir and introducing a fountain to my two cats, however the grey plastic wasn't very attractive and I wanted to get away from plastic (because of cleaning issues and concern with reading about the potential for plastic water dishes to cause cat acne).

I found the stainless 360 much more attractive than the Platinum - important, given it was quite a big bit of kitchen furniture. As another reviewer noted, it has a large footprint; it also has three black plastic clips which are essential for holding the cone and bowl together and which break up the otherwise clean line of the steel and are a bit fiddly when cleaning the unit. While it was easier to keep clean than the Platinum, it did get some visible mineral build-up from the water which I couldn't get off without strong products. A big plus with the 360 which I haven't seen with other models was being able to use a re-fillable water filter with it (also purchased through Amazon) which was a big reduction in consumables to keep it operating. Overall I was pretty happy with the 360, but then I saw the new ceramic offerings and decided I had to give the Pagoda a try.

The Pagoda has a very clean line and is nice and compact. This means it needs filling more often than the 360 or the Platinum, but will still get through several days between top-ups without trouble. The water noise is a bit more pronounced than the other fountains were - it's a definite 'fountain' noise of falling water (whereas the Platinum was almost silent and the 360 definitely quieter). However there's no mechanical noises from the pump, just the trickling water noise.

The water stream has a good flow to it - more appealing to my tap-obsessed cat than the weaker flow from the 360. (The 360 came with multiple rings to give options of 1-5 outlets for the water, but I found that any more than 2 meant the water didn't come out with enough force to stream, and would just run down the side of the cone. The design of the Pagoda seems to do a better job of getting the water to project out).

Assembling the Pagoda was very easy - it really is just resting one piece on another. They seem to sit well, but my cats also aren't prone to knocking things about - if you expect your fountain to get accidental knocks something like the 360, which has a definite locking mechanism holding the components together, might be more suitable.

Overall, I'd recommend any Drinkwell fountain for reliable operation. I really like the Pagoda and it's getting lots of good use but a household with more than 2 animals might find it a bit small. Also if you get irritated by falling water noise, this is not the pet fountain for you - get the Platinum or another where the falling water runs down a surface rather than hitting the water.

Finally a note on packaging - I was a little concerned about how well the ceramic would handle international shipping, but it was very well packed in its box and Amazon did a good job with the second layer around that.
