I wanted this for our group trip so we could take some videos and pictures of us in the water. I wanted this for a group pic so we could take some videos and pictures of us in the water. I tested it first with the paper towel per the instructions. I did find it a little bit hard to see while using it in the water, but that was mostly due to the sun and the water reflections. The mic worked really well for videos. I’d suggest playing with it before you get into the water just to be comfortable with the settings. I found once I tried to change it in the water, it was hard to see the screen, I had to find shade to see the images on the screen. I’m managed to take some really great shots with it. Can’t wait to use it again

I ordered a less expensive one and was not very happy with it. It definitely was not as robust as this one is. I like how this one feels ‘padded’ so immediately the phone is better protected from bumps even just sitting in the beach bag or on the table on the boat. The lanyard is a bright colour so it is easy to find the phone. And the lanyard attachments much more securely than the other brand. The plastic cover is thicker. The plastic closing bar at the top is attached more securely and it is easier to open. I did a test by submerging it and indeed it is waterproof. Now for the true test… off on our vacation!
UPDATE: Used these everyday for 2 weeks in water at the sea and on the beach. Held up perfectly! No water or sand got to our phones. Returned back home, rinsed them out and they look brand new! Put them away ready for the next trip.
