Materials are good. Magnetic is very strong. It is very confortable on hand when you hold iPhone, but it is very heavy.The first wallet that I tested (standard similar to suitcase) holds easily only 3 cards in the right compartment, but for the 4th card you have to push stronger to keep just a little inside in the botton caoutchouc net. You can’t put cards on the cash compatment (left). I don’t recommend this wallet.The second wallet that I kept (showed on pictures) is almost similar to another while slightly more room for the 4th card in the right compartment. The great advantage of this wallet is holding 2 cards in the left compartment even with some room for cash. This wallet also has RFID protection. I recommend this wallet. I can keep 5-6 cards inside.

I like a rigid enclosed wallet so all my cards and money are not visible. This one is exactly what I look for. The built of the wallet is very sturdy and strong as Pelican is known for. The hinges are well built and probably will last. The clasp is thin and plastic. It might not last but time will tell. Functionally I have no complaints. It is easy to store and retrieve cards in the card compartment not like most thin MagSafe wallet that I have to struggle with. I can store a max of 4 cards. The lid is good for storing money or business cards. I found the wide strap made it difficult to manipulate stiff credit cards. My only negative comment is personal. I found it a bit too industrial looking with the exposed hinges and studs and hard ridges. I prefer more smooth curves and elegant design. Again it is just my aesthetic preference.

I dislike the lack of strength in the magnet. I’ve had cheaper magnet cases that the magnet was a lot stronger than this pelican product. It’s stick to the case, of course, but easily slides around the phone.

It literally comes with a cardboard card in the wallet, telling you that you have to flip the cards around so the mag strip is facing away from the magnet. Which really sucks for quickly identifying the card you're looking for. In their advertised photos it shows the cards inserted "incorrectly". I am able to put 3 cards, 1 embossed and the others not, and that is about as good as it gets.

I can fit maybe 3 bills folded up if I'm lucky to prevent it from unclipping the webbing that holds the cash. It would likely hold American currency a lot easier, but ours doesn't really crease that well.

The uneven part of the case (facing outwards) prevents adding any magnet to it, so I can't use it with my car mount. Though I knew that when I bought it looking at the picture. Just a bad design.

The magnet feels like it holds well, though the clasp that holds it closed feels really cheap and I question how long that will last.

I typically like pelican products. This however is a fail.

I love the fact that the cards I need are readily handy and I don't carry my purse with me all the time any more. It has never accidentally fallen off as the magnet is very strong. The retaining or closure clip that snaps the item closed is extremely durable and hasn't failed me yet.
The only downfall is that it will only hold 4 cards. Wish they made one that holds more cards.

Overall, when combined with a decent iPhone case that has magnetic reinforcement, this is a useful way to carry around three cards around. Come time to do the renaissance faire, I pull my faire ID, license, and a credit card, toss them into this case, put my wallet in a secure location, and use that. When done, I pop out the cards, put the little Pelican case on a metal surface with a piece of paper between the case and the metal, call it done.

A few caveats. When the case is not in use, I stick it on a metal surface. The magnets are powerful, and can pull out. I had to replace the case when this happened... but this was something that didn't happen until year three of ownership. Adding a folded card ensured enough distance to allow the magnets to do their work without this happening.

The latch works well, although I do wish it were slightly more sturdy. It positively clicks open and closes, and has kept things secured for years.

At most it holds three cards, and the other side can hold a couple bills, folded up. For a lot of things like a weekend at a festival, this can be good enough, especially if one is mainly using a credit card to pay for things. It will not really hold something like a spare key unless it is really thin, and even then, it may fall out when the case is opened.

Definitely would buy again, and I have. It provides a useful niche, where I keep my phone in a hidden pocket, and allows me to have my cards with me. It is also useful for storing cards in an out of the way place (like the back of a file cabinet), if one wants to move a credit card out of their wallet, but still have it available, yet out of sight.

I was looking to upgrade my ‘wallet’ from two old business card holders I had, and I went with this one because of the RFID blocking, waterproof/shockproof, and MagSafe capability. It’s really clean and minimalist, snaps nicely to the back of your MagSafe case/phone, and has enough capacity for me. I use it for my main cards, ID and a spare bill for emergency. Extra cash I carry alongside in a money clip now, a more organized setup than I had before. As far as waterproof it has a nice indent that the top seals into the bottom section very well, I haven’t officially dunked it in water but the few times it being out in the rain with me so far has held up perfectly. I seen some people complain about the snap closure, idk I like it and it works fine for me, doesn’t snag on anything so maybe that’s just gonna be a personal preference. Love that they added the carbon fiber on the back too, makes it look really sleek and matches my otter box case just fine. I also tested putting my cards in and opening it flat and shaking it upside down to see if any would fall out, and it stays very securely. I haven’t dropped it yet, as it stays snapped to the phone very well, but it definitely seems sturdy enough to handle a few drops if it happened.
