My chiweenie is a nippy senior and so its a challenge trying to pick him up to put on the bed. This ramp was the perfect solution - the heighth was right on, I really like the landing giving the dogs a starting point. The ramp has a quality look and build to it. The only thing I found that didn't work for the dogs is the carpet pile is very tight making the ramp too smooth. The 7lb chi was sliding down the ramp. The solution was simple - I placed strips of Safety walk slip resistant tape. Worked well and sticks great. This ramp is going to last for a long time.

This ramp is perfect for our mini dachshund to be able to get up and down on our bed. Very sturdy, easy to put together, with everything being supplied, and well packaged. Good bracing and anti-slip feet. He has no trouble getting grip on the low-pile carpet as others mentioned. Nice and wide too. Lost a star as one side piece was cracked (doesn’t seem to affect it).

This ramp is just what we needed for our pug who is not wanting to do his stairs anymore. He's 35 lbs and it's very sturdy and well made, and also looks stylish. To get your dog used to it, the leash to go up and down the ramp until they get used to it, if you have a fussy old man like we do!

If your doggy is new to ramps there's some great training videos on YouTube. I watched 3 or 4 several times. Get a few bags of the soft training treats, lay the ramp flat on the floor and begin training BEFORE you finish putting together, before it's raised up. Sprinkle treats and lead with treats by having them practice walking across it while it's flat for at least a few days or more to get them used to it. Use a word or phrase like "use the ramp" each time they do as you give them treats for it. We practiced for 4 days and then raised the ramp and started the training again the same way. Then he wasn't as scared to get on it raised since he was more used to it by then. Still needed "use the ramp" reminders and treats for a bit to avoid him taking shortcut leaps off the couch but in time it was second nature. Now he's at a point in life where he can't get on the couch or bed without it. This gives him the freedom and independence he needs while preventing injury. Highly recommend.
