Well, let me tell you, this thing sounds amazing. I'd say it works excellent for Retro Games, like Super Nintendo, Nintendo (it even doubles the mono audio which is nice instead of just playing it on one side). It sounds like a very top end television from the 90s with extra bass.
That said, I would never use this if I were watching a 55 inch flatscreen watching movies or streaming on Netflix. Nope! I mean, you could, but this this is designed to sit probably no more than a meter or two away from you. So it could work for PC gaming if you set that up right.
Anyways, I really like this, it suits my purposes.

- Tried Bluetooth and optical on my computer and everything works like a charm.
Edited on Feb.12, 2022:
Ordered again and received brand new one, I've been using it for over a month now and so far so good. It is a pretty decent soundbar, and it sounds quite good.
It has adequate Bass for the size, dialogue is crisp in movies and the bluetooth music feature is flawless. And videogame use is clearly where this excels as the name implies.
Understand that is by no means some 7.1 or 9.1 speaker setup, but the sound created filled the room quite nicely!
I decided to return this and keep my Edifier 1280dbs, as the sound quality is much better. Even the bass is better and I don’t even have a dedicated sub.
But if you are looking to save space on your desktop, and want Dolby atmos, I think this is one of the only options at the moment. I will probably wait for something better
Sounds slightly better than built in TV speakers.
Sounds no where near as good as a my 20 year old dedicated amplifier which cost me 200 bucks in 2000 and some garage sale tower speakers...
In the description it says like 200+ watts or something.... not wure where the watts are going but definitely not to the woofer.
It's treble is way to loud as well
It may be decent for gaming. But for watching movies or listening to music... meh
- this is bar is replacing two Bose speakers I was using before. While better in sound quality at a lower price point. This sound bar has surprisingly good sound quality, at such a small size. It's not a massive drop in sound quality and instead I'm gaining a cleaner and more sleek looking desk set up.
- can recommend for those looking for less of a cable mess and a cleaner set up. The 3D surround is nice, but wont beat a good set of headphones.
- bit expensive
- no audio jack (optical digital cable is better anyways)

The different sound modes and features do actually work for the most part too. 3d Surround should always be on in my opinion, as it emulates true surround sound and just sounds better. The Clear Dialogue option does actually make dialogue much louder and clearer if you need it. The gaming modes in particular do actually seem to work as intended. The FPS mode in particular does highlight things like footsteps better than other modes. However, it is still not as good as headphones so if you are being really competitive stick with them.
The Final thing is the price. In my opinion, it is worth the roughly ~$266 I paid for it as it was exactly what I was looking for and sounds great. However, it is still a little pricy and there are other options in this price range. If it goes on sale for ~$200 I'd say you have no reason not to buy it.
PC: Install Dolby Access app to activate Dolby Atmos (Free of charge, the app only charge if you use Atmos for headphone), Netflix and PC games all sound great.
PS4 Pro: Select HDMI and LPCM sound format can output lossless 7.1 to the sound bar to play with, games like Nier benefit a lot. And it still can run 4K 60fps with HDR normally.
Switch: Select Surround sound format (LPCM 5.1) when dock to enjoy lossless 5.1 surround audio from Switch games!
My old speaker is Creative Katana, it also sound great but only can input stereo 2.0 from Switch which kill a lots of surround effect. PS4 with Dolby digital 5.1 is also highly compressed, and for PC the virtual 7.1 surround effect design by Creative is not as natural as Dolby Atmos so in my opinion SoundSlayer is better then Katana.
The downside I found at the moment is only one HDMI input so you must add some HDMI hubs if you like me got a few systems in the desk.
Another problem is when using in Windows PC it tend to get into rest when there is no audio playing, so when there is audio start like playing music or YouTube video may need to wait a few secs for the sound to kick in, quite annoying, but it doesn't affect gaming as if there is constant audio it will not act this way.
lastly, the Bluetooth of this sound bar is just a outdated 2.1 and poor SBC connection as shown by the third photo. So forget about the Bluetooth function, it's sucks! Use the HDMI only for best experience!

Inside the box is the sound bar, power cable and remote control. No HDMI or Optical Cable. You have to buy it separately. The sound quality coming out of the bar is amazing.
I had to return mine because for some odd reason when I connected it to a computer I would get a 15 second lag on initial sound. For example I would play a song and 15 seconds later the bar would kick in and produce sound but I would lose the first 15 seconds of the song. This also happened in a movie where there is a dramatic silence and something would happen that would cause a sound.... and I would lose 15 seconds of that sound.
I troubleshooted it with Amazon and they told me to contact Panasonic directly which I did. I changed out the HDMI cable for a better gold plated HDMI cable and it did not resolve the issue. Panasonic told me to return it or put it in for Warranty repair.
I do really love this sound bar, so I am still giving it a 5 star rating. I contacted Amazon asking for a return and replace... which wasn't an option. I am going to return it and try and buy it again and hopefully I won't get another one with a problem.
I do really love this sound bar, so I am still giving it a 5 star rating, even though I had bad luck and received a lemon.

I wanted a sound-bar for the TV located in my bedroom. This sound bar does the trick!
1. It’s small & fits perfectly on top of the stand holding up my 48inch LG CX TV.
2. It has HDMI ARC, so i can control the volume using my TV remote.
3. Sound is just perfect for a bedroom.
It wouldn’t be as great for a spacious living room but for a bedroom it gets the job done!
I’m actually surprised the Dolby Atoms works fairly well on this for a small space & i feel the subwoofer when the volume is up and watching an action movie or playing a game.
Again only works well in a bedroom or small living rooms. It can not compete or compare with a full fledge sound bar meant for a living room because of its small size.

While the device has one primary HDMI input, and then an output (to feed, say, a blu-ray player or game system into your SoundSlayer, and then out to your monitor or HDTV) there are only a few lights (which alternate from blue, green and orange) associated with the hard-to-read and microscopic labeling on the device to give you any clue as to what's going on. When your audio signal fluctuates--as mine does since I'm running a couple devices through an HDMI splitter into the SoundSlayer--the soundbar, acting as an HDMI pass-through, blinks on and off, slowly, as it attempts to detect an incoming video signal. Sometimes it takes me 5 to 10 minutes just for it to find the video source of the device I'm trying to use.
I'm keeping the SoundSlayer because the sound is crisp and full of presence. Star Wars The Force Awakens was a good test movie to use, thanks to the wildly panning audio effects on display. And the sound is also excellent when paired with my iPhone connected via Bluetooth. You will not be hosting any house parties with this--not even close--and it isn't really loud enough, in my opinion, to use as a primary A/V unit for your main HDTV. But as it sits on my desk, alternating between music speaker, movie soundbar, or gaming audio, it is more than adequate. I much prefer this over the usual array of PC speakers.
The SoundSlayer's primary problem is that it's almost a bit too elegant, too minimal for its own good. For the price Panasonic asks for this device you'd think they could add in a visual display. I have a Sony 2.1 soundbar that I use with my secondary TV that costs $100 less than this, and has that functionality built-in. There's no reason why Panasonic couldn't have gone the extra step. The UI is unintuitive at best and vexing more often than not.
