Wow, so my PS4 controllers were no longer charging due to some wear and tear when charging with the USB cable. I was recommended that I buy a dock that would charge the controllers from the bottom of where you connect your headset or keyboard devices. After trying to find a good one, on Sony's website, they referred to this charging dock as it is an officially licensed product for PlayStation. Figured, what the heck? If it doesn't work I'll try another variant or buy new controllers. Thankfully buying this was the right choice. It seems it'll take some time to recharge, but I can say I can use my PS4 now after this pleasant experience. Kudos PowerA!

Got this dock to save space and not have to plug in a separate cord into each remote. Not only does it look good but it also uses less cords and easier to charge the remotes. One of the biggest issues I read about is that it doesn't hold the remote very well especially with the cheaper versions (not from Sony) well this dock clicks into place when charging the remotes and are pretty sturdy so they won't fall over. It's definitely worth the $20!!!

I have the PowerA PS4 controller charger, which is great as well so you know PowerA makes decent quality products. This is a great charger for your PSVR controllers. It has a nice sleek design that can match your PS4. Unlike some of the newer chargers that come with just the USB wire and no adapter, this comes with an AC adapter so you can plug it and charge. The controllers are not that sturdy in place when charging so you can easily knock down your controllers by accident. Although, I'm not sure how this can be fixed. I just leave the controllers charging behind my other chargers. Overall, I am happy with this purchase. Would recommend.

1. Packaging
There isn't much to be desired for a package of this price, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well everything was contained and protected in the box. Damage to this charging station is unlikely to happen even if the box is damaged quite significantly.

2. Build Quality
Despite being made completely of plastic, the charger is built well with no problems in the docking and charging mechanism. The only problem with this charger is that it can move around really easily because of a lack of a weighted base. The bottom isn't grippy enough to keep it from shifting around so I recommend buying strong rubberized grips to keep it in place. Beyond that, everything else is solid.

3. Ease of Use
Controllers easily fall into place and "lock in" via a spring loading push (similar to inserting an NES game into the NES system for those who remember those days). Controllers charge to full capacity and use the PS4 controller's light bar to indicate it is charging,or fully charged if the light is off. Removing the controller requires the same process of pushing onto the spring loader so the controller comes out. If you do not wish to charge the controller but want to keep it on the charging dock, just put it in the dock without pushing down on the spring loading mechanism. The controller will sit gently above the charging port but will remain stable without charging.

Note that when a controller is fully charged, it will never keep charging even if the battery power drops when not in use. This is a good thing as keeping a device fully charged all the time will ultimately destroy the battery. If you leave your controllers in the charged position for over a week, you will notice your controllers have less power when activated again. This is GOOD! However, it also means you have to be conscious about when you last charged since you will probably believe the charger failed to keep the controller at peak charge (which is undesirable).

Lastly, and most importantly of all, the controllers are kept in an upright position when docked. This is actually a really nice feature as it keeps the charging pin from the dock in place with the charging dock of the controller so there's no fear of breaking any wires or damaging the charging contacts from the controller. Additionally, the controller triggers will not be susceptible to damage if left to charge with a cable lying on the ground.

4. Problems/Concerns
Honestly, there's nothing more you could ask for except for a sturdier base to keep the charging dock in place. Other than that, the dock charges two controllers quickly while keeping the controllers in place.

5. Conclusion
This product delivers exactly what is described, ultimately leading me to purchase two sets to store and charge my 4 PS4 controllers.

As some reviews have pointed out, this is an unnecessary purchase if you don't have more than two controllers and you have a charging cable like the one that comes with the PS4 packaging.

However I'd like to present a different purpose for this product. I like to game on the PC (Windows 7) and the DS4 is my favorite gamepad to play with. Once I bought a Kinivo BTD-400 Bluetooth USB adapter I was able to use the DS4 with my PC without even being tethered by a cable. Great! So what's the problem? I couldn't charge the DS4 once the battery ran low without having to plug it in via a USB cable and then losing my bluetooth settings and having to start all over!

It was very frustrating. If I connected it via the micro-USB port at the top of the controller and charged via the PS4 or the PC directly, it would "forget" it's bluetooth settings. After running the battery low and having to recharge and re-connect several times (a process that could take several minutes each time) I determined that the problem was with the micro-USB being plugged in. If I could find some way to charge the controller without ever touching the micro-USB port, it should work.

And it did. Perfectly. If you are a PC gamer and like using a DS4 to game wirelessly, I cannot recommend this enough.

1 - As for the product itself, it feels a little awkward to attach and de-tach controllers because of the sloped angle and sometimes if you press down with too much force to plug in the DS4, its retraction mechanism will activate popping it right back up.
2 - The base is very thin but sturdy enough to not move with two controllers docked inside it.
3 - The mound underneath the base keeps the cradle from sliding, even with light force applied, on a wooden desk.
4 - There is a groove underneath the base where the AC adapter plugs into it and the wire fits snugly into the groove so the cradle sits flat even with the cable plugging in from underneath.

Overall: this is a very good product but the price point of $30 + tax is a bit steep unless you need it for a specific purpose such as being unable to use a charging cable. PC gamers who like the DS4 should definitely buy this.

Very useful! This is SO much better than getting a single cable! Most people will avoid this kind of charger because people are scared it will damage the battery and make it last shorter. Not with this charger! It will charge both of them simultaneously and at the same pace as each other! The cable is about 10 inches long and the actual charger itself is 5 1/2 inches long. Very practicable size. Overall, it's a very good charger.

Would recommend it to any/every psvr1 user!

This cable is a great length for my hybrid sit/stand desk. Fits in all my microUSB plugs perfectly with no issues.

However, the charge port in my PS4 controllers is broke so the cable won't work with those specifically. :/ Not the cable's fault though!
