About six 36 minutes recording sessions in a row before batteries quit. 40x zoom okay, just stay very still and let it adjust. Other settings I don't know about. Good enough for recording problem neighbours.

I am a senior and my hands shake, so even though the zoom is nice, without a tripod the pictures are blurry

I should have returned it within the first 30 days but wanted to give it a better chance

My main complaint is that the return window should be longer

 I pick this camera for the price, I'm really happy for it. The image quality is pretty good in photos, but taking a video could be a little bit messy when zooming in/out, after 30x focusing is bad and the time to get a sharp image is kind of slow, even using a tripod. If you want to shoot a video zooming in, especially for moving objects, this isn't the best product for you; however, if you are an amateur like me and use a camera from time to time, this is a good option.
