Bulb Looks Great And Works Great Too!
I wanted a smart filament/Edson bulb for a light on my desk that I made. I already own the Phillips Hue gen 2 hub, 3 hue white bulbs, a hue light strip, and a hue bloom. So I decided to get this bulb. Shipping was fast and the bulb arrived with nodamage whatsoever. Bulb looks so good. It was easy to set up, I screwed it into my light and scanned for the bulb using the Hue app. I can then control it using the hue app, Siri on my iPhone, and Google assistant. Bulb is pretty bright at 100%, so I have it set at 40% brightness because I have it exposed as you can see in my 2nd picture I have attached. This is one of the hue products that have the Bluetooth available, I’m not using that because as I’ve said, I have the hue hub. Maybe I’ll try out the Bluetooth function sometime.Overall, I recommend this bulb.June 6th, 2021 Update: I bought a cute lamp holder from Amazon for this bulb and the two look really good together! I thought I had received a defective product because the first Hue White Filament A19 bulb didn't work in 2 different lamps, but a replacement bulb didn't work either. All my other Philips Hue bulbs work fine however.
Some quick Google searching turned up other people with similar issues with this bulb, which seems to be designed just a little different than other Hue bulbs, causing it to not screw in quite as far as most do. Some recommended a bulb extension, but I used some pliers to carefully and ever so slightly bend the middle contact inside my lamp, and the bulb has worked fine since.
