Product description

Pleco Banquet Block is a time released food block that is designed for sucker-mouth type catfish. This block contains the algae and wood fiber necessary for your fish, and is a great supplement for difficult feeders. The Pleco Banquet Block provides a convenient way to feed your fish while you are traveling, and has been designed to be used with either fresh or saltwater fish.

These things work great if you ever go on vacation or need to be away from the house for a few days for any reason. Don't substitute regular feeding with this, as like any other food source left in the water, it can cause ammonia to increase a little even if your tank is cycled.

I put one of these in my pleco breading tank, the next day I found 2 dead plecos, I
removed the pellet and the dead fish immediately.
Use caution if you're trying these for the first time.

These are a tremendous value because they feed my fish, especially my bottom feeders and they cost exactly 1/5 of what I pay at a pet food store. Fish love to eat it just the right size for the bottom of the tank and all the other crap I have in the fish tank so it doesn’t take up too much room. I don’t notice any fishy scents coming out of it.
I am pretty sure that the fish like how it taste by the way they devour it but it’s still last about five days which is what I need it to last typically. I’m really happy with this purchase and will buy it again and again and again.

Wish this didn't dissolve so quickly and lasted longer. But the one I put in the tank to test really perked up my pleco. The week this was in the tank he came out front and seemed alot more active. Now I will have to buy in bulk and hopefully be able to split in two and give my one half each time. Whatever it is, he really liked it so now I feel like this is what he needs to be healthy. Hopefully will find a discount or they sell them in smaller size blocks for individual fish. Would definitely recommend for your bottom feeder fish though. This block was priced better than any other I seen also.
