I have one of these for every bike in the house. We like to use the maps apps on our phone when we go on biking trips all over the country and holding it in your hands leads to dangerous situations. This one is nice as it has the clips on both ends of the phone and those are the ones I prefer as I feel they are more safe for the phone. This one is made reasonably sturdy and it has a simple latch for release. Easy to install and feel it will hold up for some time. Overall, I am pretty happy with it.

PROS:

* This is a strong product implementation. Build construction feels dense and confidence-inspiring.
* I can confirm that the device will successfully mount a Samsung Galaxy Flip Z 5 in its open position and with its casing armor on. I cannot see a way the mobile will fall out due to the holder's grip.
* Hold is managed by a strong claw recoil and the optional use of a locking slide switch at the back of the claw to ensure the claw does not accidentally expand.

CONS:

* The hold on the mobile device is firm. That means any vehicle vibration (e.g. motorcycle) will be directly transferred to the mobile device. If you mount an Apple mobile product, you may be at risk of camera system damage.
* The implementation is a bit more complex compared to a leading competitor RAM X-Grip implementation. It is not clear how well the ORNARTO holders will hold up to inclement weather exposure (e.g. Rain resulting in mechanism rusting? Sun UV exposure prematurely ageing/cracking the plastic?). Not a major con, but something to consider.

SUMMARY:

Unless you own an Apple iPhone, this is a great mounting alternative at a very fair price.

I know this is designed for bikes but I have it for my Ford Maverick and it is amazing.
The Mavericks has a odd open pocket space just to the right of the infotainment screen. I've tried using a 3D print block to fill and use a former phone mount... but if you are going through a rough patch the block can fall out and drop your phone.

This phone mount however clips right on top of that pocket, and keeps the phone very secure. The rotation also allows my passenger (aka my girlfriend) to rotates the phone towards them to access before turning the screen back to me as the driver. This is helpful when we are on the highway and need to change destinations on GPS. The Orange color also match the orange accents of the Maverick interior so it looks nice and feel like apart of the truck. The phone also latches on easily with one hand.

The only "con" I can see is the when to phone mount is not in use the top latches raddle while driving. Which is annoying, BUT that also has put me in a habit to always mount and plug in my phone while driving. Which IMO makes it safer to drive and my phone is getting charged more often so I am have less low battery moments in my life.

Bonus: this phone mount also to grants easy access to that pocket for storage. I don't use it how ever the option is still there if you ever need it

I really don't think i could have gotten a better phone mount. I have not used or needed to use the lock feature but I imagine it is far more helpful for biking. 10/10 will buying more for gifts later this year!
