NexiGo Aurora Pro, Ultra Short Throw 4K Tri-Color Laser Projector, 2400 Lumens, Screen Adoption, Dynamic Laser Dimming, Dolby Vision & Atoms, HDR10, HLG, Active 3D, 60W Speakers, UST Laser TV
- 【The Visual】The Aurora Pro aims to deliver the best out-of-the-box (OOTB) color accuracy with minimal to no professional calibration needed. With four screen options, the projector has been calibrated to a state that can tolerate and account for the variations in projectors themselves, screens, room conditions, calibration tools, and more.
- 【The Black Level】With ALPD 4.0 RGB+ technology, the Aurora Pro delivers a native contrast ratio of 3000:1. Our dynamic laser dimming technology pushes the black even further, enhancing black levels with minimal impact on color accuracy and other side effects. The dynamic black feature reduces the black level by more than 60% and provides over 30% energy savings, benefiting the environment without compromising your visual experience.
- 【The Sound】Experience an immersive cinematic journey with built-in 60W stereo speakers, including two 15W woofers and two 15W tweeters. The Aurora Pro also supports Active 3D movies and features Dolby Atmos support for state-of-the-art surround sound, with eARC.
- 【Dolby Vision】The Aurora Pro is the only UST projector on the market that features Dolby Vision (DV), a native contrast ratio of >3000:1, and dynamic laser dimming. These features elevate the DV rendering to the next level with our improved tone-mapping algorithm.
- 【Lowest Latency】Enjoy ultra-smooth motion with reduced ghosting, thanks to responsive 120Hz MEMC. The Aurora Pro is one of the very few projectors supporting 4K@120Hz input. It has the lowest tested input lag of 12ms among all UST projectors currently on the market. Now, you can enjoy playing your favorite PC and console games on a massive screen without sacrificing motion quality.

Does the Aurora Pro support 3D playback?
Yes, the Aurora Pro supports 3D playback in various formats, including frame packing, frame sequential, left and right, and top and bottom.
Is it necessary to purchase an ALR screen for a better viewing experience?
For optimal visual quality, use our ALR Fresnel projector screen, tailored for UST laser projectors. Its impressive 85% ambient light resistance provides clear images in well-lit spaces, surpassing projection on flat walls or unlit screens.
Can I use TV sticks like the Roku or Fire TV with the Aurora Pro? Does it support CEC functionality?
Yes! Easily connect TV sticks to Aurora Pro using HDMI 2.1 ports for seamless content streaming and app access on a larger, high-quality screen. Plus, the HDMI port features Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) functionality for added convenience.
Why Do I see wavy image when I project on the wall?
This is caused by the uneven wall. UST projectors tend to magnify even minor irregularities because of throw distance. The projector throws an image at a very sharp projection angle, especially towards the edges and the top of the screen.
Does the remote control support backlighting and air mouse functions?
Certainly! Our remote control offers convenient backlighting for easy navigation. Activate the Air Mouse function for effortless motion controls. Enjoy quick access to all functions, ensuring a smooth and user-friendly experience.

My only complaint (and it's not honestly specific to THIS projector, but any UST projector) is if you move it the smallest bit your screen is off. I still haven't been able to get mine 100% exactly where I want. I had to get a pretty low table to set it on (12" tall) which is lower than most tv stands or coffee tables, but higher than any other type of stand like a monitor stand.
Before you spend this kind of money definitely look up reviews and info on UST projectors on YouTube. They'll never be as sharp, crisp and brilliant as a 4K tv. If you are okay with that, it's amazing having a huge monster screen, but personally I like it as kind of a "movie room" set up, while still having high quality bright brilliant tv's in other areas like the living room.

The projector is physically larger than it looks in the images. Make sure you pay attention to the measurements, because placement is absolutely critical to getting the best picture quality with UST projectors, and there is little flexibility as to where and how you can place this projector. I talk more about this in detail below.
This projector can be deployed in a lot of different ways. I am using mine in a traditional home theatre setup - a screen mounted on the wall, an AVR with 5.1 surround, and a dedicated room with light tightly controlled. In this capacity, it performs excellently.
However, where this projector really shines through is as a potential replacement for a large screen TV in a living room or family room. If you have the wall space or floor space for a screen, this projector will do well in a living space with windows or a lot of ambient light. Places where a traditional projector might not work suit this projector well. If you're considering a large TV, you should also defiantly consider this projector for maximum screen size.
It's worthwhile to look up the specs and where the projector needs to be placed relative to the wall or screen to project the size of screen you want. Ideally, you would have a setup where you can adjust the height of the projector, as well as its distance from the screen or wall. Even the smallest movements can change the screen size a lot. For example, the manual states that to project a 90-inch image the distance needs to be 0.33 inches, and a 100-inch screen needs 0.49 inches. That is an incredibly small distance for 10 additional inches of screen.
The manual is available online, and I highly suggest studying it and the measurements in detail before deciding to purchase.
The height also makes a difference. I ended up sawing the legs of an inexpensive table to get the height to where it would project on my screen. You really need to plan in advance to get the most out of this projector. But with a little bit of imagination and ingenuity you can make it work.
The projector has a built-in Android Smart TV OS, but I find that to be lacking for the way I want to use the projector in my home theatre. It has all the requisite streaming apps, but I don't love the Android interface. It's definitely serviceable and works just as well as a Smart TV, so if you plan to run the projector indepenedely of any other set-top boxes it will work just fine.
And one more thing that makes this a possible replacement for a TV is the bill-in sound system. It really does sound excellent, similar to an expensive sounder with subwoofer, and would be more than adequate for a living room. It definitely doesn't take away from the viewing experience at all if the projector is putting out its own sound.
Annoyingly, the projector defaults to the Android interface by default, and you have to manually change the input every time you start up the projector. I have not found a way yet to get it to default startup to one of the three HDMI inputs, but that could just be my issue. It's easy enough to change the input, just a bit irritating to have to do it every time.
I have used the projector with my Apple TV 4K and 2015 Nvidia Shield, and both produce excellent images. The Apple TV recognized the Dolby Vision right away, and can see that the NexiGo is had HRD capabilities.
When I first started up this projector and saw the 4K HDR image on my screen, I was absolutely blown away. The brightness, vibrancy, and overall image quality is unmatched by anything I have experienced so far. Every time I turn it on I am again surprised by how good the image looks.
While this projector is a significant investment, it really does seem that it's on the cutting edge of home theatre technology. I am consistently amazed at how incredible the picture looks. This is the kind of tech that you would build your home theatre around. If you decide to invest in this projector, you won't be disappointed.

As expected, It is very sensitive to screen quality. Any wrinkle will be amplified, and if using a wall, it needs to be really straight. My 120 inch screen has 5 eyelet on the top, and this is not enough to get a perfect stretch, you need a good quality one. The blacks are decent, similar to a good lower power projector, but this one is brighter, giving a better contrast. Black is mostly influenced by ambient lighting, I'll look for an ambient light rejection screen for that matter.
Audio looks impressive at boot up, but disappoint once you start a film. I am not sure how to describe this, but it looks like too much surround added. I originally thought that changing the audio setting means going back to the main menu which stops the film, but there is a second way to access the settings using the remote, so you don't need to stop the film. Switching to SPDIF cuts the speaker, which is OK as decoding usually results in slightly off sync audio.
Using Netlfix app results in SD content only, In fact, Netflix reported that the new device was a web browser, not surprising since I had to use the remote in mouse mode. I installed Kodi, since this is my PVR client, and Kodi only reported 1080 as the maximum resolution. Using a Fire Stick allowed me to get Netflix 4K movies and Kodi reported a 4K resolution. It is super cool to get apps on the projector, but they need to allow use the projector to its best, which does not look to be the case now.
So now I'm using a FIre Stick and I configured the power to work with the Fire Stick so I can power on the projector from the Fire Stick power button. To do so, I set the IR profile to 4737 which is for Viewsonic PJD Series Projector, it looks to be the closest match. I then set the power off option to have power command sent twice on power off. Power ON and OFF work Nicely, Input selection is not working yet, but the default input on the projector is set to the FIreTv so I go to the display directly.
I also configured the projector with a universal remote controller, the one with a hub. For Bluetooth control, I used a FireTv remote configuration, I mean the remote pairs with the projector as if it was a Bluetooth FireTV remote, other Bluetooth option works either not, partially or erratically. I accidentally turned the Bluetooth off will testing different options, and noticed that the remote is also an IR remote, and IR is used to power on the projector.
Adjustments like focus and keystone are easy to make, the colour is pretty good out of the box. I did not have to play a lot with the projector setting to get a pretty good image.
Top reviews from other countries
- Background: I was coming from only using long throw projectors in the past. I really wanted the ability to have a UST where ppl didn't have to worry about walking in front of the projector. I also was sensitive to the projector not sitting too far away from the wall. This projector checked the box on both of those.
-Performance: out of the box was really impressive. I don't quite have the expertise as many of the reviewers and other users out there around calibration, but I found colors to be quite good out of the box. The only change I often make on each startup is the focus adjustment. It's a quick adjustment, but it would be good if it could save that adjustment.
- Support: I have found the various AVS forums to be very helpful in addressing any questions I have with the unit. Nexigo is often on those forums as well seeking feedback and looking to make their product better which I thought was a very good sign. Early products are hard and I could tell from their engagement that they truly wanted to deliver the highest quality performance possible for all customers.
-Sound: The speaker actually is not bad at all. It's workable, but I would think most ppl looking to spend this much on a projector have a separate sound system and that's going to yield the best results.
-Overall: I would recommend this projector. It has performed very well and especially with higher quality content it really shines. I am easily able to watch sports and such during the day with some of the basement lights on and I don't find the image too washed out. The picture is really quite amazing with lights out. One of the hardest things with the setup was actually finding a table that worked well with a UST. I ultimately want with crednza from Sauder.
