I was hesitant to get one of these because of the inability to try single pods like you can do with kcups. But I finally took the plunge and boy was I glad I did! I still have my lonely keurig that has barely been used in the many months since I’ve gotten the nespresso. The espresso is delicious, there is a nice foam “head”, it’s just delicious.
FYI the cheapest way to buy pods if you don’t have a nespresso store in your city is to get a “subscription “ and commit to 30$ a month, and then place an order every other month. Because if you don’t have a sub, you need to buy 10 boxes of pods to get free ship, but if you subscribe you only need to buy 5 at a time. Furthermore, they pay 10% of your subscription price.
For example, I pay $30 a month. Every 2 months I have $66 credit- $60 from my subscription and $6 from nespresso. That’s enough to buy 5 boxes AND get the free shipping. You can also cancel or pause your subscription if you need to, but if you drink about a coffee a day it’s just enough to do you. Every 4 months or so I get an extra box so it’s enough to do me.
Also you get a sampler box so you can see what your faves are. And on the website it gives a good detailed blurb of what each coffee tastes like, how strong the roast is, etc. Now I have a few favourites and just stick with them.
