The replacement had no defects
I am a huge coffee lover so I bought this for myself as a Christmas gift from my wife. I was delighted trying my new toy and tasting some really great coffee. Unfortunately the unit had many defects such as it would not connect to my wifi, it was not heating the coffee to an adequate temperature and at one point would not brew, would not reset and became non functional. After leaving it unplugged for more than a day and watching several videos explaining how to time out the hard reset i was able to get it back up and running. It was only a short time later that it started to leak water randomly after use. I reported the issue to amazon and promptly received a replacement. I used that box to return the original. So far, after a month i am extremely pleased. The difference in the two units was like night and day. It was pesky to connect to wifi but i was able. It heats to a hot temperature and has never malfunctioned. I does not leak water. It lives up to what i had expected the first time. Id say that it was worth the extra effort. I do treat myself daily :)
