Building on our popular first generation interface, the Komplete Audio 6 MK2 features a marked upgrade in audio quality, with up to 24bit recording and 192 kHz sample rates. Six inputs and outputs provide a flexible set of connections for studio or stage, with four analog outputs also allowing for CV control of popular modular gear. Solo Musician/Small Band

Connect combinations of guitar, bass, and microphones, create send and return loops with effects units, and record into your DAW via USB.

Producer

Capture synths and drum machines, connect MIDI-enabled keyboards, and plug in CDJ units with two inputs to spare. Send audio to studio monitors and route effects using the four analog outputs.

Modular

Trigger modular synths from your DAW via the analog outputs -- use a MIDI keyboard to send change messages to the synth via your computer. Record the audio back into your DAW.

Live #1

Perform with MASCHINE, external synths, and two vocal mics. Send output to front of house and separately to stage monitors, controlling the level of either main output or monitors using the big volume knob.

Mastering

Zero stress setup on my Mac. I’m not an audio pro so I won’t attempt to give a deep review of the sound quality or anything other than to simply say that as a lifelong guitarist general lover of making music, I’ve never had a simpler or better sounding audio interface. That’s going all the way back to the Fostex 4 I had in the early 90s. :)

This is my first Native Instruments product so it’s my first time using the Komplete Kontrol software that comes with it and, let me tell you, it is a joy. Guitar Rig could use an update maybe but overall the plug-in game that I can now bring to Logic is on point.

My only regret is not dropping the extra cash for the Audio 2 with the two combo inputs. Live and learn I guess.

This is my first ever microphone pre-amp that I own. I wanted to take my music more seriously and went and bought myself one of these. Beforehand, I was just using USB microphones known as the Rode NT-USB and Audio Technica AT2020 USB Plus. This audio interface looks like it's built to last long, especially for the price range. It's not too light and it's not too heavy. I would definitely recommend this to anybody who's looking to start up their own home studio set up.

I bought the KA1 audio interface in March and it went defective 4 months later. While it worked the audio quality was good when recording. No issues there. One thing I disliked alot was there wasn't enough gain to power my headphones. If you like to listen to loud music, play your guitar or bass thru headphones, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

The biggest issue for me though is the warranty. The unit started making terrible distortion when playing in "input mode". Native instruments said the hardware failed and their solution if to replace it with a refurbished.... I paid for a brand new audio interface, not a discounted refurbished, so I expect to have something new.

Do yourself a favor and pay the few dollars more to get a Focusrite interface instead. I regret not getting a Focusrite from the beginning.

This is an upgrade from KA1 I bought a while ago since KA2 was out of stock. Decent units except KA1 has a lot of annoying hum on speakers, since it has unbalanced outputs. Only thing with new KA2 is that the product registration code was already registered to someone else. Took 3 days to solve it with Native Instruments and they describe my KA2 as second-hand item. Came in the brand new box, never opened before though. Amazon gave me 30% discount after the fact, which I really appreciate.

I have yet to fully take advantage of all of the software that comes courtesy of Native instruments, but what I can say so far is I am extremely happy with this interface.

I have a dual keyboard rig with a mixer. The lower board is my controller for my cubase daw. However, my pc suddenly got noise in the usb hub internally. I now route the mixer into the komplete and connect the komplete to the computer. Even better I still have my keyboard connected to the computer. The native instruments pieces show up in cubase as vst and are controlled by my keyboard.

One caveat is that the komplete doesn't allow direct monitoring of it's outputs so I set up ableton live (also came with the komplete) with a profile that allows me to monitor the outs.

To avoid the above I suggest using the komplete 6, which does have monitoring on the outputs.

My setup allows me access to a fully functional daw, great audio out for my computer, and the ability to use headphones when not using external speakers. Plus I got a full suite of music production software. A huge bonus.

I'm extremely please with this product.
