I purchased this microphone boom arm looking for an alternative to save money opposed to buying a rather expensive one. This product functions as necessary came with a split screen so you are not spitting on your microphone when using it, I mean use for this boom arm is used when I am PC gaming / streaming online. The only complaint I have about this product is the clip and vice that you use to bolt it down onto your desk comes with a small styrofoam piece that is used as a protectant layer between the metal clip and the desk that you put on the top and bottom to stop your desk from getting damaged that product completely deteriorated and I had to replace it with my own felt pads in order to protect the metal from clamping down on my desk too hard. Due to the deterioration of the styrofoam pads at the product came with my desk does have a crack in the top of the material however the desk is still intact I just wish the product came with better protective padding for when your vice gripping the boom arm to your desk. Having it for the past 4 years has been good and the product itself has stood up to time

Comes with an included pop filter at no extra charge, this thing is really impressive. No desk noise, mounts easy, sturdy enough and exactly what I wanted out of a boom. I mounted with a Blue Yeti and it holds perfectly fine, the instructions were pretty simple but were fun to read through. Installation took about 10 minutes.

The wingnuts you use to tighten the joints down sometimes can't get very tight, I took mine apart and used some extra washers laying around the house to get the joints to clamp harder and make the arm more sturdy. I'd also suggest buying a few low profile cables or 90-degree angled Mini usb cables for the microphone, I broke one when I tried adjusting my microphone due to the position of the final wingnut near the microphone because it got in the way.

I did a ton of research on this unit before I made the plunge and bought it, as it is clearly advertised for supporting the Blue Yeti, which I have. Let's be clear: it DOES support the weight of a Blue Yeti, but not in all positions. And even in some positions where the Blue Yeti IS supported, if you add the small weight of the pop filter, the stand won't support both. The microphone slips down to the table with a clunk. SO. NOT. COOL. But read on if you're still on the fence about getting this unit.

IF YOU HAVE A BLUE YETI:

It took me a while to find that "sweet spot" orientation for my needs. It may take you a while, too (took me over an hour of trial and error). In some orientations the stand has no trouble at all supporting the hefty weight of the Yeti, even if you add the pop filter. But these orientations may or may not be that "sweet spot" you're looking for--that is, the place on your desk where you can quickly swing or raise the Yeti to where you want it and when you're done, just swing it and lower it back so it's out of the way. Since the stand struggles to support the Yeti and pop filter in so many positions, I found my options were very limited. Luckily, I finally found an orientation that suited my needs. But if my needs change, I'll likely struggle to find another "sweet spot" for me to use. IMPORTANT NOTE: You *can* increase the strength of some positions by tightening the thumbscrews on the unit. Just don't go crazy tight or you'll break them off. And also realize that by trying this, it doesn't always help. The Blue Yeti is just one heavy beast.

WHY I GIVE IT FIVE STARS:

1. For me, it's working. It's doing what I need it to do. I found that sweet spot on the desk. I can swing and raise it to where I want my Yeti, then quickly move it out of the way until next time.

2. For those users with lighter mics, this stand will probably be a real dream to use. You'll have so many more "sweet spots" to choose from as the stand will hold a light mic in many positions. It costs a little more than those low-end models, but it's worth a few extra bucks.

WHY I SHOULD HAVE GIVEN IT THREE OR FOUR STARS:

1. The company' clearly advertises that it supports a Blue Yeti--but this is VERY misleading. Yes, it DOES support the heft of a Blue Yeti, but only in a limited set of positions (even when I tightened the thumbscrews).

2. It didn't come with a manual. Not that it needs one, but most products do. It made me feel as if I'd been sent a returned product.

SHOULD YOU GET ONE IF YOU HAVE A BLUE YETI?

By now, if you own a Blue Yeti, you're asking yourself that very question. All I can tell you is what I stated earlier: Right now, it works for me. But it might not work for you. It all depends on where you're going to try and raise that Blue Yeti and pop filter. Do I recommend this product? YES--BUT IT'S NOT GOING TO WORK FOR EVERYONE. It all depends on your needs.

It arrived in a well packed box. All the parts were made of spring steel and light tubular aluminum(?). I had to figure out how to attach the stock bracket that comes with an AT-2020 (remove the inner, threaded, fitting screw with a penny or a dime). That worked out. The bracket, in its current state cannot hold the mic in one place. It appears I'll need to try 2 adjustments: (a) reswivel the mic so that its centre-of-mass is directly over the bracket's pivot points; and, (b) grab a cresent wrench and horse down on the joints. The AT-2020 is a heavy block of metal and the arm-springs are just not strong enough to hold it steady. Again, this is a cheap stand and I'm pretty sure I can make it worth. When it's time to buy a better one (more $$$), I should get better satisfaction. Ah well...

Ich habe mir diese Mikrofonhalterung bereits zum dritten Mal bestellt. Beim ersten Mal hat sie sehr gequietscht nach einer Zeit und hat sich leicht grün verfärbt (vermutlich Rost oder Schimmel). Beim zweiten und dritten Mal ist mir der kleine Metallstift, der im Loch der Haltung steckt, abgebrochen. Diese Mikrofonhalterung ist nicht für Auna Mic 900B gedacht, WENN man nach dem Verwenden den Arm nicht wieder zusammenklappt. Das heßit, umso weiter ausgestreckt der Arm ist, desto mehr Gewicht auf dem Metallstift. Keine Möglichkeiten den Verkäufer zu kontaktieren
