 This thing is a BRICK, no creaky plastic here. I put a ball head mount on top so that camera can be tilted up or down.
I did a battery test and the supplied battery lasted for about 6 hours doing a move every 5 seconds.
The app worked for me without issue (iOS)
I did change to a smallrig battery though as that battery charges directly via USB-C
Panning is smooth, I've used at wide angle (see sample) and with moderate zoom and it stayed steady.
I use a 2.5mm trigger cable to tell the camera to release the shutter. that way the picture is taken a moment after the move so the platform is steady while it takes the photo.
The range for communication between the device and my phone isn't great, sometimes it drops when only 20 feet away, however once the unit has started its Timelapse it doesn't really need to keep contact and you can always bring your phone close and it will re link up without affecting the continuity of the Timelapse.
I'm really happy with my purchase.

 I own a smaller spinner for smartphone but that never works with actions cameras or larger cameras such as full frame mirrorless caneras. But this one does work with them perfectly.

It can be powered by a removable battery or a USB-C power cord, controlled via App on a smartphone, Android or iOS ones. My is Samsung S23 Ultra, and worked smoothly with the spinner.

Three modes available: Manual, Live or Timelapse, which fit different needs of shooting. The Timelapse mode is the one I like the most, which immediately improves the dynamics of Timelapse videos shoot from my full frame camera, an obvious step up from a fixed scene Timelapse.

It also works with action cameras such as my Insta360, flawlessly.

The downside is that the spinner is t located in the dead center of the device, as you can see from the picture, it is biased towards one side, which might impact the symmetry of the composition during movement. This is one thing one needs to pay attention to when composing.

Overall, I like using it and I'll give it a five star.

 I have on occasion tried my hand at panoramic photographs or video but never had much success at obtaining a nice, smooth, handheld rotation. However, I came across this Neewer motorized tripod head and thought that would make life a lot easier, so I ordered it.

It comes in its own case and what you get is the motorized head itself, an NP-F550 rechargeable battery, a battery charger, A micro USB to USB-A charger cable, a USB-C to USB-A power cord, two tripod bush adapters, and an instruction manual.

The tripod head is quite compact and measures approximately 4.125" by 3.375" by 1.625" or 106mm by 86mm by 43mm roughly speaking. Without a battery inserted it weighs 1lb 7.75oz or 673g.

The USB-C power cable is approximately 18" or 46cm and the micro USB cable 15" or 38cm in length. The motorized turntable is attached to a tripod with a 3/8" thread or if your tripod is 1/4" thread you can use the adapter.

It is probably most convenient to use the included NP-F550 battery, but I did test it out with other size batteries up to NP-F970 and it worked without issue.

To control it you will need to download the app which is available for both Android and iOS. QR codes are provided in the manual for both and additionally there is a QR code for getting the app control instructions.

In operation the motorized head is very, very smooth and is very responsive to control from the app. You will need to get a remote release cable for your own particular camera system as one is not provided which is not surprising as there are so many different remote cable camera fittings.

The only slight negative is that there is a very faint and somewhat intermittent "ticking" noise from the device. It's not outrageously loud by any means; I had to put my ear within a few inches to be able to hear it.

The issue is that today's microphones are very sensitive. Using a shotgun type mic it did not affect the recording at all. Using the camera's microphone it could occasionally be heard. I don't think it will be a big issue for most people and I am quite happy to continue to use it. Choosing and using a shotgun microphone got rid of any issue for me.

Overall, I think this is a great addition to any photographer's armory and if you are interested in this type of photography you should take a good look at Neewer's motorized tripod head.

Comes ready to rock with the included battery and charger, this thing is great for panning video shots and time lapses. Super smooth and stable, it's also pretty dang quiet.
Spins nice and smooth even with my heaviest lenses, so I imagine the motor has a lot of torque.
This really steps up the quality of my B-roll and makes things look very professional.
App is also intuitive to use and connects easily.
Great quality panner that should last forever.

Another great product from Neewer in my Bag :)
Great quality Motorized Tripod Head from Neewer.
It does move so smooth and super quiet.
Some people mentioned about clicking sound, and yes I did notice the sound once in a while when
the motor start or when you change the direction or speed, but it was really quiet, so I don't think
that become an issue, just a minor noise.

The App to control the tripod head is easy to use and comes with several settings that you can cusomize.
I didn't use the time laps function yet, but I'll try to use shortly.

The most impressive function of this motorized tripod head was the weight capacity!
With this price range, most of the tripod head only can hold about 2~3lb when using vertical mode, but this Neewer product can support up to 4.4lb (2kg), that is amazing.

I have several product from NEEWER and I'm a big fan of them because of good quality camera/smartphone products that they been making. It is rare to make you disappointed with Neewer products.
This is another great product that I'll definitely will add to my camera bag :)

This is a great standalone or upgrade option for your Neewer slider. I have the ER1 and it pairs with my slider perfectly. I was never a fan of the rotating consistency of the ER1 when adjusting the rails. Sometimes the movement would be jumpy and would make my video not look as good. The GM16 corrects those issues now. The GM16 offers smooth movement and eliminates all the jumpiness I used to encounter on my slider.

The GM16 can also be used on a tripod or tabletop. It is a great way of capturing panning Timelapse video or just regular panning shots. It pairs with the Neewer app perfectly and the app makes it much easier to use.

The GM16 can handle up to 22lbs but not if you use it on a slider. You will be confined to the weight restrictions of that slider plus the added weight of the GM16. If not using on a slider you can setup a full size rig with no issues on fluidity of movement. This is an amazing tool with a lot of uses.
