Solid Metal Construction; Nice Slim Travel Option
With a full metal construction, I like that all the adjustment levers and knobs are smoothly tuned; None of the components felt loose when locked in and I was able to secure the angles I wanted. I had no trouble securing this tripod head onto my tripod legs with 3/8-inch threading.The only thing I did not like is that the tilt ball base has bit of a granular feel compared to the rest of adjustments; It's fine after securing the ball as I only use this for initial setup and leveling.After loosening the front-back tilt adjustment lever, I did notice that the spring tension does move the head to a more forward position; I do need to have my hand steady on the adjustable handle to prevent any lean forward while panning.Overall, I believe this tripod head is a nice upgrade for an older tripod; I appreciate that the size is slimmer than the previous ball head that came paired with my tripod. I was still able fit this tripod head inside my tripod bag despite the taller dimension.
