Bad batch with Defective PODS explains cheap price
This coffee is delicious, I have been buying it for years, however I just bought 4 boxes from Amazon (great price) and they’re all defective. The new ones I received have a slightly bigger pocket holding the coffee, as such there is too much space inside the pod and the top label droops down and sits below the rim so when you put it inside the machine the spike doesn’t pierce a hold in the top label on the pod and water pours everywhere and no coffee comes out, it just makes a big mess. I wasted 10 pods until I figured out the problem, because the compostable material is bigger than normal (assuming a bad batch), you have to push the coffee firmly up against the top label to allow the spike to pierce the label and make a hole to allow water in. See image of my last remaining pod from my old batch vs the new batch I just received. Fortunately Amazon was great and refunded me, but buyer beware … have a towel handy to wipe up the mess!

While I like the compostable pods, they've changed the lid portion of the pod. I find that I have to be careful that the machine fully pierces the pod. I've wasted a bunch because it doesn't and it ends up leaking. Good taste when it makes properly
